A bundle of BluRays:
Heroes Reborn Pulp Fiction Fight Club Casablanca
One of these things is not like the others. I always thought Heroes was a show with a lot of potential and deserved a do-over...but unfortunately Reborn followed the same formula and the same mistakes as the first time around. Still, I'd like to have the full series, and now I do.
Also picked up Drugstore Cowboy on DVD because a Blu-Ray edition apparently does not exist except in Japan, and the somewhat forgotten Wester/horror shooter Darkwatch for PS2.

Instant pre-order, Indicator have unveiled their Fu Manchu boxset. It's loaded with extras from Kim Newman, Stephen Jones, Chris Frayling, silent serials, documentaries on the legacy of "Yellow Peril" fiction. And direct orders from them get the famous Fu Manchu For Mayor poster.

For some reason, I'm a huge fan of the two Jess Franco films (which effectively polished of Lee's run as Fu Manchu!) 'Blood' and 'Castle' - but they all hold a fascination for me, and it's good to see them collected like this with so many extras.

There's been a 40% off sale on Criterion releases going on from Unobstructed View, who is apparently their Canadian distributor. I've not ordered from them before, but it's hard to say no to that, so I've ordered:
- The Seventh Seal - Silence of the Lambs - Shock Corridor - The Naked Kiss
I can't wait to have those Blurays in my grubby little paws, but there are backorder and COVID delays to account for.

My copy of The Birth Of Ultraman turned up. It's a promo released for "Ultraman Day" on July 10th. Essentially it's an odd 30 min black and white stage show in front of an audience where the character first appeared the week before the colour Ultraman show proper debuted in 1966. Features a "Best Of" selection of the rest of the season with English dubs included (the season sets omit these, so it's a nice novelty to get these included) but a major selling point is that sexy as hell Alex Ross artwork on the cover.

Lets see how this compares to "Talons" (in all seriousness).

Had a visit to CEX today and spoilt for choice in new arrivals.
Got Blu-Rays of:
Quatermass & the Pit (BBC) - five copies just in, as new. Pendas Fen Logans Run
They also had behind the counter (of course), Seasons 12, 18, 19, 23, & 26 of the Doctor Who Collection releases, plus Series 11 on steelbook. Someone has been hit hard by the Furlough. Plus Matt Smiths 3 seasons on Blu-Ray (as new) still languishing on the shelf, for £6, £8 & £10 amongst other Nu-Who Blu-Rays.
If I hadn't had a £600 car bill yesterday (and more to come), I would have splashed out a bit.

This bad boy has so much in it that it takes up my table I'm using for work! Flash Gordon's new (and already sold out at most places) 4K boxset - got the movie in 4K and blu, 2 discs of bluray extras including the Life After FLash film about Sam Jones, the Queen soundtrack CD, a Flash patch, a picture book, 4 art cards with rare poster art, a book on the making of the film, a double sided poster and a reprint of the first Flash strips. Well...that'll do!

I've picked up quite a bucketload of BluRays in the last little while: - Alfred Hitchcock: The Ultimate Collection (though weirdly missing some real classics. No Dial M or Strangers on a Train in favor of Torn Curtain?) - The Goonies/Gremlins/Gremlins 2 Triple Feature - The Dark Crystal 4K - Glengarry Glen Ross - Once Upon a Time in the West - Sergio Leone Anthology - Point Break - Dark City - The Lost Boys - Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle Writing it all down that's actually a good chunk of change over the past month. I should probably stop, but there's been a lot of good deals. Look at me, I'm starting to sound like a Big Finish customer! Glengarry Glen Ross is brutal, dog eat dog in the SME sales world, but is brilliant.

If so, nothing wrong with that...what a machine! I'm still on ps3 (original big version, when the fan kicks in it sounds like a jumbo jet, must be over 10 years old) but my son is all things ps4. The original Tomb Raiders (1 to 3) remain my favourite ever games.

Well...that'll do! Woah! Loving that. I've watched Flash Gordon so many times I've lost count. Probably my favourite ever film (with Blade Runner). The vhs copy I grew up with had a bit where someone had recorded a bit of The News at 10 over the scene just before Vultan's Sky City gets blasted by (misherd) 'Warlock in Ajax'. S/be war rocket Ajax, only just found that out! I still want to run off with General Kala. Edit: it wasn't war rocket Ajax, it was Klytus' ship that looked like a wasp/bee.

Love the music!
