I am humbled anyone watches my vids, thank you! It has been my way of finding an outlet recently, somethin new to try. That over 100 people have watched it in 24 hours is terrifc, and my Neil Young vid bein promoted by the NY newsletter and main news page has pushed that to nearly 600. I thouht, and may be proven correct, there is room for people who just talk to the audience. No scripts, no edits to make it pristine...just shootin the proverbial about somethin I, and presumably the person watchin, care for. I had some nice feedback at my snipe at Time Lord Victorious and, well, its because I do not want to make videos that are puff pieces. I have seen so many channels do so..and they start receiving screeners etc....out with the objectivity then! Not for me. I always said its the same old faces and names on BF reviews for a reason, because (some of them), well they praise the lot to essentially save a fortune on BF, write a few paras and..boom. PR done for BF, freebie for reviewer. Nah..my money, my opinions. UNLESS ANYONE WANTS TO SPONSOR ME. No, thank you for producing them! What I like about them is that they’re not scripted or pristine, they’re just you - someone who clearly has affection for what they’re talking about - talking about something I’m interested about in an honest and passionate manner. There’s too many reviewers now that are affiliated and get freebies and their opinions reflect that; I think it’s only DWM that do balanced Big Finish reviews nowadays. Not that I want to read something scathing, but I do want to read / hear some detailed thoughts, rather than a plot walkthrough and gushing. Same would apply if it was purely scathing. Sorry for the delayed response, hope you had a nice Christmas! And I loved your haul videos too; you should do some sort of collection / tour video at some point!

Sorry for the delayed response, hope you had a nice Christmas! And I loved your haul videos too; you should do some sort of collection / tour video at some point! Thank you, truly, for that. It was immensely kind to say so much. I've watched YT reviewers for years of course and they tend to represent the kinda material they review - so millenials reviewing Marvel would be upbeat, maybe fast edits etc. Yet I noticed, more and more, people with interests like those I show on the channel and via proxy here, were now doing likewise. There is one fella who reviews old school albums...I swear he edits after every line. It makes it really hard to watch. Likewise when someone has written a script (and notes with bullet points is fine) - you can always tell. Its too perfect. So I thouht, which is not to say I am not interested in better quality camera, audio, lights etc down the road, I would do the opposite and see if there is a bit of a niche. Conversational, ramble-y sometimes, ad-libs, tangents - because thats how we talk. And I've had to do public speaking as part of multiple jobs so I know a wee bit, which is all you need, about talking for 30mins without needing to stop or stumble. I also assumed, or hoped, which seems to be working, that the kind of topics I cover will reach an audience that are not interested in flash, they prefer the steak to the sizzle. Yeah, not everyone has time to watch but when I am taking about Barbara Stanwyck and Orson Welles...I threw the dice people would prefer depth to pizzaz. I also decided not to review the likes of Spider-Man or Boba Fett, which I have seen - because: a) Everyone has and will so lost in the shuffle doesn't come close and b) I do not have a REAL passion for them, just an interest as fun. I would be making them for likes, views, subs. And I never wanna be that. Scorsese took flack comparing Marvel and Star Wars to theme parks but he was not offering criticism of them, he was correct and astute in noting people come out of them wanting the next chapter, the next ride to use Scorsese's comparison, ASAP. Instant gratification. They are not content with "The End" after one film/ride any more and want to experience every ride in the park. So I prefer to stay away from that as while I like a trip to the theme park..it does not inspire me. And YT has surprised me too - I said in my Mr Blunden vid this week that I assumed it would be my least viewed vid as it was about a Satellite only remake of a film that anyone under 35 probably has not heard of unless shown it by parents. It has now overtaken my looks and reviews of the new Doctor Who Collection set and new, already out of print boxset of David Lynchs Mulholland Drive in views which kinda knocked me for six. So it has shown me...there is an audience for even obscure-ish content, and maybe that audience just has not had anythin presented to them yet. "If you build it..they will come", I suppose! Thanks once more for the exceptionally kind words.

That why your videos entertain, no scripted reviews just honest opinions about products you purchased with good humour & funny impressions thrown in. The Elton John video was hilarious.

No worries Si, least I could do. So many releases overseas you only know about if you are as nerdy as me!
New vid time!
A look at a new bluray from Arrow and some films by its star and a favourite of mine, Warren Oates.

Yeah half my Dolph Lundgren collection i had buy via imports because they not had UK releases, and some of my Jackie Chan collection i purchased from Warner Archive Drunken Master 2, Mr Nice Guy, Rumble in the Bronx & First Strike as well as The Foreigner because bizarrely it's not had a UK release yet which is i think because it's on Netflix.

I've just spent a ridiculous amount of money pre-ordering this beautiful looking boxset. 20 folk horror films, and 15 hours worth of extras.
I love it already.
