How am I supposed to keep all the TV and Big Finish stories in chronological order on the shelf now? 0/10 terrible release.

We can laugh - people already taking stars off their Amazon reviews because of the logo being Jodie's! It's not out for 3 months and there are loads of reviews....some people are weird.

If they'd kept the streak going through the words no one would've noticed.

It's showing up as number 1 best-seller on Amazon, which is a good sign, and hopefully it means it'll lead to more of these sets in the future.

If we're getting Classic Who on BR, can the US get the Cushing Doctor movies on BR too?

Guess I should just convert my old VHS then. Side note: I'd be very amused if BF did Cushing's doctor, but like Shalka varient, it'll never happen. (At least I could get Shalka on DVD. *Grumblegrumble*)

I've got a region free player and it wouldn't open with the region A code so 100% locked.

I guess while licencing is different via region - Studiocanal could make money from Lionsgate's property if US folks imported in this case - it's not going to happen. Though, oddly, all 4K discs are region free...for now.

Anyone any ideas what the differences are between the above and the normal episodic version? Not specific scenes but it's quite a lot shorter - chops out a lot of stuff, a bit like the vinyl release. I think it's under 90 mins wheras the 6 parter is what? 140 mins?

Anyone any ideas what the differences are between the above and the normal episodic version? The 'omnibus' editions were made for re-showing at Christmas, in school summer holidays, etc. They were usually 6-parters ('The Sea Devils', 'Planet of the Spiders' also had 'omnibus' versions) heavily cut to fit a 90 minute slot, or sometimes 4-parters ('Pyramids of Mars', 'The Ark in Space') lightly trimmed and run together without episode credits and cliff-hanger reprises, again to fit in a 90 minute slot. Not perfect (especially for the 6-parters), but back in the 70s when the BBC barely repeated 'Doctor Who' at all (not even the single repeat most shows were automatically allowed) and there were no catch-ups and no home video, we were very grateful!

I don't think it's really a lot for what you're getting.
