Yay!! Not as if you're reading this of course, but Happy Birthday, Colin!
All great stories on offer but I highly recommend Criss-Cross and The Last Adventure in particular.

Some lovely stories in there! The Last Adventure is indeed fantastic.
Out of the main range releases I'd recommend The Space Race - a brilliant standalone tale with great cliffhangers and a great showing for the Doctor and Peri.

Sorry, thought that read “Birthday Suit” for a moment and thought “Seventies Porn Colin” was finally making a triumphal return to fandom.

Any of these are very good (even Last of the Cybermen)
If on a Budget get the Peri and Flip ones and The Last Adventure.

As someone who was very wary about post-Trial stories with Peri, I loved The Widow's Assassin. It's very clever, very charming and starts off a good little trilogy on a high note. I would recommend buying Scavenger and finishing up Flip's first bout aboard the TARDIS, though.

Everybody who doesn't have Criss-Cross should probably get Criss-Cross.

Will be sitting this one out as I have an enormous backlog anyway and this is looking like an expensive month for me (deposit for house next year due). I second the recommendations of Criss-Cross and The Last Adventure.

LOL I know what you mean Mark it does get criticised doesn't it? - but I really like LOTC, not least for the way CB and Frazer Hines recreate that authentic Doctor/Jamie vibe. And the two oh-so-British Cyber-war buddies. Good story too imo. The only thing is it's the middle of the trilogy so there are no answers to the main mystery.
I'd go for The Widow's Assassin, Masters of Earth and Criss-Cross as my top three (in publication order). And 'The Last Adventure' is a must-have.
Of the rest, the only one I don't like is 'The Rani Elite' - too much like a TV-era throwback for me and the Doctor's character jars badly with the previous two stories and Peri's new storyline.

Well I shall be getting Shield of the Jotunn & Planet of the Rani. The only other release I do not have here is the Last Adventure, but at 4 episodes, I still think it is priced high on account of the deluxe packaging of which merely means it fails to fit on the shelf with the rest of the jewel case releases for me at least. Does the story match the significance of its end of era premise? I know of others who have been disappointed with it.
Anyhow, maybe a re-watch of Colin's glorious debut from 1984 is in order. Seriously though, I found it refreshing at the time after the seriousness of Davison's latter episodes and enjoyed the lighter, more energetic (edit: read Exuberant) arrival of another Baker to the role, as a young teen, whatever other faults of the production or script. I have never bought into the fan criticism of Colin Baker's era, he should have had twice the run of episodes to warrant a fair retrospective. He was, and remains, one of my key Doctors.

I was just thinking to myself a few days back that I ought to grab Widow's Assassin and Masters at some point! What a stroke of luck!

Of course I already own all the releases on sale. Yeah, at this point I find it kind of pointless to look at most sales because of that.

I didnt really dig tla tbh. Episode 1 is good but is clearly missing a significant part that isnt really the fault of big finish but still doesnt quite work for me, episode 2 is usually panned as being the worst (tho i personally loved it and thought it was my favorite) episode 3 is just fan w*** and episode 4 is good but just that, good. I know they wanted to do a massive arc spanning the doctors life but unlike for storys like neverland and the next life or even blue forgoten planet for a sixth doctor example, those climaxs felt earned as they culminated after a series of releases. Here it feels cheap, like they just wanted to tick off a box and cash in saying look heres the the sixth doctors regeneration, buy it now!! Maybes if they had kept doing releases like totv then i may have found it more gratifying. Its certainly serviceable and is not exactly bad, hardly anything from big finish is bad. Just i know big finish can and have pulled off better things than this that have more emotion and stakes raised in two hours than this does in 4. That being said, id still go for it if u fancy seeing (or hearing) how it pans out and is much better than the doctor dying from banging his head on the tardis console so its got that going for it (p.s - agree with everything you said about sixies era, it still stands as really strong imo and i think fans are far too harsh on it)

Not a bad release, but many MR releases hit higher. I have bought the other two mentioned, which takes me to just 10 MR Sixth Doctor releases missing, half as many each as 5 & 7. I guess his swansong will wait another day..

its Madness Agreed!
Its the strongest of the Locum stories Imo.
Likewise with your comment Rani Elite not a bad story but definitely more TV 6th Doc than BF 6TH Doc.
