The convention won't be until March of 2019, but they've already booked McGann, Daphne Ashbrook and Yee Jee Tso! regenerationwho.com/It's not fair. McGann just grows more handsome with every year.

I just saw yesterday that Paul McGann will be there. He's my favorite. Trying to figure out if I'll be able to go. The timing is not problematic, but I'll probably be doing childcare for a grandchild at that time. So depends if I can get off for the weekend.

I'm really hoping we can go. Money is going to be mighty tight this hear so I'm not sure.

The question will be whether I could get away for a weekend after I move to take up grandchild-sitting duties.

Take the grandchild At last, we know the REAL story of why the Doctor took Susan with him when he fled Gallifrey.

I don't know if anyone plans on attending this one, but they just announced that the Sunday night room block has sold out, so it would probably be best to buy tickets sooner rather than later.

Catherine Tate just announced.
Also, it has moved to the Bethesda North Marriott 5701 Marinelli Road, Rockville, Maryland (didn't realize that until they changed the location on the FB page today).

Guess what, I'm in Maryland RIGHT NOW!
But no, just not able this year, but it sounds great. I WILL make it someday! Hopefully next year.

I think either Nick or Jason have been there every year, so it's a surprise that there is no Big Finish presence there. I see Peter David is a guest, which is quite unexpected. I didn't know that he had done any Doctor Who work. I really enjoyed his run on the Hulk.

Mind you, it's possible preparations for the upcoming anniversary may be taking them out of wider circulation for the time present.
Nice! I didn't know that. I knew him through New Frontiers; the rough-and-tumble Trek novelverse, I suppose you could call it. From memory, he wrote One Fateful Knight in one of the early Short Trips anthologies, an Eighth Doctor story set in King Arthur's court.

His author photo for Imzadi (1993) has him in a phone booth. He thought it quite amusing they let that go through. Both he and his wife are big name fans of the show and have contributed Short Trips. They are also quite connected to some of the creative folk at times. They are only coming from NYC, so not a big trip.

Since nobody wanted to guess which panel is mine:
A History of Violence: A journey from Pacifism to Genocide and all points in between: Terrance Dicks said that 'The Doctor always looks for a peaceful solution - but he never finds one!'
This panel seeks to evaluate the limits of both violence and pacifism and the Doctor’s willingness to employ each in the pursuit of peace. Presentation and discussion will cover all eras of the classic and modern series, as well as the Big Finish audios, with particular emphasis on the Fourth and Tenth Doctors.
It grew out of a thread on the forum here.

It grew out of a thread on the forum here. That sounds super interesting, and now I wish even more that I could make it cross country(not quite as I live in Canada, but it is the opposite coast to me). I hope all goes well and if you want, I'm sure we'd be more than willing to hear more about it.
