Well folks, the actors are going on strike with the writers in Hollywood.
This is the biggest strike action in decades.

Well folks, the actors are going on strike with the writers in Hollywood. This is the biggest strike action in decades. Pay them what they are worth. IMHO that is the beginning and ending of the discussion.
The behind the scenes talent need more recognition.. Wife and I have a mutual friend who is high up in the Aussie movie & tv industry (easily top 3-4 credits of non acting talent)- lots of unthanked work etc..

Today has been the last full day of my holiday in America with my parents... Where have the last two(-and-a-bit) weeks gone?!
This morning we visited Philadelphia's art museum so that I could run up 'the Rocky steps' before getting lost trying to find the QuickStop that the film 'Clerks' was shot in.

Just visited 1 of the only 2-3 (?) bookstore chains left in Oz.. I noticed yet another edition of "T.H.G.T.T.G" with a foreword from RTD.
Cool!
(Best book in the history of ever- well.. the 1st 4, they were my jam back in the 80's- mind explosion, I still remember my 12/13 year old self reading book 1 and being stunned).

Just saw a news-info report online.. "Sound Of Freedom" is out performing "Mission Impossible" on a per theatre basis at the moment. Word of mouth is the cheapest and most effective form of marketing.

I have spent about 6 hours yesterday downloading more of my BF account to 1 of my spare HDD's (backup for my phone app and my physical cds because "options").. Have put at least 80 more stories yesterday, i go through to make sure all the files work etc (Stranded 3 took me 3 tries to download it kept getting corrupted the 1st 2 for some reason). In 1 of the box sets was a full page advertisement for Dark Shadows "Windcliff" - saying "Coming 2020"... Not made my day..  |

2 weeks on since my uncles funeral & still getting aggro over estate, his niece lives in Australia who executor and her brother who lives in England is also a executor to his will, instead of letting her brother handle it she wants sort it so keeps emailing me for information that causing delays to bills that need paying out of the estate.
Told her enough is enough my mom and I looked after him as his power attorney, we arranged his funeral so quit being a bitch & let your brother sort it pay the bills but no she wants do it as afraid might not get her share of the inheritance.
She used bleed my uncle dry over the years with her money worry sob stories despite managing a high classgolf club. I seen her turn up fake tears my washer broken or fridge packed up & my uncle give her £300 no questions asked, I soon put stop to that when he went into care home as his pension went towards paying for his keep as he didn't own home & had benefits for attendance allowance for looking after his wife with dementia.
I've cut all ties with my family barring my two cousins, I'm ashamed of them, the final straw was seeing his nephew who stole 5k from him go up to coffin tap it all teary eyed I was livid at his cheek, his visits had supervision because he kept trying scam money from my uncle so I eventually had him banned when I became power attorney.
I walked out funeral didn't acknowledge anybody except his nephew daughter who's a drug addiction kicked off at me as she seen me nodding my head at her dad when he tapped coffin, I said your dad's a thieving c..t who has no morals or principles & your a junkie who instead trying get clean rather stick needles in her arm, I'm bipolar, OCD, PTSD & yet I don't stick needles in my arm get your act together & get clean or be another funeral.
I went to car I was fuming but let lot stuff go as I respected my uncle I wasn't going cause a scene at his funeral but now I just severed ties completely.
Sorry to rant on I been feeling angry since the funeral & sad at my uncles passing who I loved a lot.

Im running on maybe a few hours sleep since Sunday Night for a variety of reasons.
One is because of a 3am run to A&E Tuesday Morning, because a big Wooden Window Frame came crashing down on my fingers, cause someone at work decided to jam a Reserve sign into the frame to keep it up.
Trying to remove it caused the accident.
Luckily nothing was broken, They just had to burn a hole into my nail to relieve the pressure build up under the nail and skin.

She was the only link keeping Myself, My Brother and My Mum connected to that side of the family. We essentially got cut off because we werent High society compared to them. My dad cut them off afterwards, including his sister because of how they treated us. I thnk you are well shot if thats how theyve been. You dont need that hassle and grievance in your life |

Been tracking down forever the last 4 books of a specific franchise that has been around for decades. Found books #39 & #40 of the original series 43 books. Need #37 and am circling #43 (the last one) on eBay . I only buy from Australia as the P&H co$ts are very high.. I made an offer for $15 less and the person accepted within the house. Last time I read these 2 books was either '86 or '87 when I finished Primary School. Made My Day ! |
