Dealing with terrible sciatica since Thursday evening. Yesterday was so bad I could barely drive home from work, it was scary. But luckily, this kind of thing is my bread and butter. I figured out what was wrong and starting treating myself last night. Much better today. Still, I will not be cleaning my apartment today.

Currently listening to The Next Life as I'm Co-reviewing this Eighth Doctor audio drama with my friend Tim Bradley who will not let me retire from reviewing (I think he enjoys my rants) Lol.

Indiana Jones & Detectorists crossover? The original trilogy were classics, Kingdom was awful so i think maybe flogging dead horse here we shall see. Not ageist but Harrison Ford is nearly 80 a bit too old physically to be playing Indy.

I agree, & as it is the 40th anniversary of Raiders, which was set in 1936, then this new one must be set in the 70s? If they insist on doing more just recast & keep the same period setting. Although I wonder if there is some CGI de-aging going on as Ford has dots on his face.

It was pointed out, so I saw this morning, that this is a flashback sequence - the Bamburgh Castle sequences have WW2 German military vehicles on site. The white dots on his collar and shoulder suggest that they are going to do the de-ageing the Martin Scorsese did with Pacino and De-Niro in The Irishman.I have heard that the main narrative is 1960's set, though as others have noted, it should realistically be late 1970's. Perhaps we have met the villains before....

It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if they did do a time travel story where the Nazis use some weird science device/arcane artefact to travel from the future or from the past.

I know a few. I'm definitely better than I was yesterday.

Not ageist but Harrison Ford is nearly 80 a bit too old physically to be playing Indy. I know Kingdom of the Crystal Skull gets some stick and does not hold a candle to the original trilogy but its still a perfectly enjoyable ride. My biggest gripe with it was that ground breaking stunt work and live action special effects (thinking of the rollercoaster camerawork for the model work in the mines, plus that fantastic stunt as he trails under the wagon) and ambitious painted glass shots were supplanted by too much easy (and OTT) CGI. I think Harrison Ford has looked after himself remarkably well and I suspect ageing will be a humorous element of the film as it was last time. "I'm too old for this kind of thing", whereas he is probably fitter than someone 20 years younger. So long as they keep away from Aliens, UFO's and the likes, it could be a more traditional actioner once again.

Doing some inventory at the moment and I discovered some old copies of the Beano from my youth. I know that we generally look at our early years with rose tinted glasses but I can honestly say that reading the Beano week to week made for some of my happiest childhood memories.
And anyway, it’s always interesting from a historical perspective to see what characters remain and which are discarded to the mists of time.

Hello everyone! I've had my first cinema experience in a long while - 'Peter Rabbit 2'. It went well. Hope to share a review on the movie soon. Tim.

Not made it, Sadiq Khan being driven to work and back in a £300,000 five-litre armoured Range Rover, DAILY !! Doing about as much good for the environment as he does for London.
