A sequel to Static a personal favourite of mine and a River Song tale .This is quite a strong range and always highly replay able too.Hope it continues |

Sounds good! I like the idea of utilising more original BF creations for UNIT, even if it’s a sequel. The second story sounds standalone and intriguing. River Song & UNIT sounds terrific! I’m looking forward to the interactions between Kate, Osgood and River.
Interesting that they’re not all going to make it out alive. Perhaps killing Sam off? I think that’d work, killing off the least developed of them and upping the stakes in one go.

I think this officially confirms what I've been feeling. Big Finish have turned River Song into one of the best incarnations of the Doctor. Honestly though, she feels like the New Series Doctor at Big Finish for me and I honestly love it. In regards to Unit 8, very exciting news and I am excited to actually listen to Lisa McMullin story considering the amount of stories she has coming.

So this will be my second new UNIT series box set.
They tempted me in with the Master & the Cybermen and know they have done the same with River Song.

Reading the details for 'Incursions' I see we have a sequel to 'Static' (which I hear is terrific and I still haven't got round to purchasing), a story on a Hebridean oil rig (for some reason I'm thinking Zygon or Sea Devil related? Probably not..) and a two parter featuring River Song (I hear her entire series is terrific and yep, you guessed.. I still haven't got round to purchasing. God knows what I've been doing with my time..).
Needless to say I'm looking forward to the May release. It'll give me five months to catch up. But before then, any chance of an announcement for a further four boxsets? 😊

First off, more Jonathan Morris is always a good thing and a continuation/sequel of or to Static is great news. Another two-part UNIT tale is fantastic and written by Guy Adams is the cherry & the frosting on top. Also Lisa McMullin's story also sounds interesting. All in all, wonderful news.

The next one won't be due out until late next year, there's no rush - there will presumably be more McGann sets after Ravenous, and more Torchwood sets after God Among Us, after all.

River i think is one of those characters that BF developed and each series had something special to offer from a character that had outgrown the tv show. DONT RUSH RIVER just sit back enjoy and it IS enjoyable. |

Two of my most favorite Big Finish ranges so it'd be a no-brainer for me even if I didn't already have it pre-ordered. As has already been mentioned, the conversation between River and Osgood should be loads of fun to hear.

Since this boxset seems to feature the death of a regular, and 8oM has the first story set after Day of the Doctor, Incursions might the end of an era in the UNIT New Series range. So they may start the next one with something big, like a Zygon story, and announce it shortly after the release of Incursions. |

If UNIT were a non Doctor Who range there might be a reason to be concerned but it is and Big Finish is clearly all in on all things Doctor Who, and with 10 being the only NuWho Doctor they currently have access to, spin-offs rule the roost. I would be totally and completely shocked, stunned even, if this were the final box set. |

Besides the Eighth of March and this there’s no confirmed further releases. Until set 9 is confirmed it’s all up in the air as far as we’re concerned. Popular ranges can be revealed to have had low sales to our surprise, like with the monthly Companion Chronicles or the Novel Adaptations. Incursions could be be big finale for this team for all we know. Perhaps like Counter-Measures had UNIT could be in for a shake up soon. |
