Feeling budget conscious in the end (if only because I can see some nice things coming up in March and April), I’ve plumped for Robophobia (had to have the first Liv Chenka after her excellent stint with Eight) and the last two Eight and Charlie ones. Very happy customer. Now I just have to get the Eight and Charlie stories from 51-100 and I’m nearly up to date... (yes, for which read completely not up to date!)

Well, my readthrough of Paul Magrs' Brenda and Effie books has collided with the BF repeats on Radio 4 Extra. This means I've done something that perhaps nobody else has ever done before or will do again, and deliberately bought four Thomas Brewster stories in one fell swoop. (Now, does anybody know which way round "The Boy That Time Forgot" and "The Bride That Time Forgot" go?)

As a character & a companion I think the worst things you can say about him is that he is rather innocuous and bland.

I wish the timing of this sale worked better for me than it does. Had it been at the beginning or end of the month around payday then I would have quite cheerfully plugged a lot of the gaps in my collection between 101 to 150 (there are 31 gaps to be plugged..😳). As it is, in the middle of the month, with bills left, right and centre to be paid and a backlog to be worked through I'm reluctantly sitting this one out once again.
Still, I'm happy for those who are plugging gaps in their collections and I've finally twigged that Big Finish hold a sale on the monthly range every year around this time (or have done since 2015 at least).
Which means I have a year to put some money aside.. 😊

I say this without any operational knowledge of how or when Big Finish plans sales but I have to think with this being the Who/BF 20th anniversary year, and with BF clearly trying to run out older stock, we will probably see another one or two major Main Range sales before the year is out.

That's good for me. Whilst I know many others like multi-part stories linking knitting together several doctors, foes, and many companions, like the forthcoming 20th anniversary shindig, but for myself, I am quite happy to plug the gaps in my collection up to at least the 200th MR milestone. Quality stand-alone stories over mixed bag box sets is my preference for plug in and play listening, by habit. As good as 'Light at the End' was, curiously I have never given it a re-listen. Wouldn't mind knowing a bit more in advance of how the 'Legacy of Time' may be structured mind you. Collectible, yes, but will it be as satisfying than a decent 2 hour drama with just one Doctor and original TV companion(s)?

That's the plan. I've worked out there is at least one 12 month subscription to be had at full price at some point this year , and that will also give me the Four Doctors and the Five Companions from the Bonus Releases plus the Doctor's First XI from the Subscribers Short Trips. The rest I will aim to pick up next year. Or maybe sooner if Audio Watchdog is right! 🙂

So last Friday to this Thursday or had been from This Thursday to next Wednesday, i would have got more of what i wanted than the 4 i did. But, im sure ill survive lol

Hello again.
Just completed my Sixie and Charlie sequence with Paper Cuts, added Eternal Summer to my current Davison listen through and got Angel of Scutari in preparation for my McCoy listening adventure.
On an aside are 51-100 at £2.99 download on a special offer as well?
Happy listening folks.

Hello again.
Thank you Brigadier. How did I miss this? When funds allow, I shall mostly be exploring McGann post Zagreus! I still haven't heard the latter, having saved it for my McGann listen through towards the end of the year. Thanks again.
