I love how mundane and kitchen sink it all sounds. It’s making me that little bit excited for it!

Looking at the release schedule for this, sorry but I'm out. Part two 9 months away (March 2021), part three November 2021 then part four not until April 2022!

I listened to the extract the other day. Who's the character who's working with the Doctor and seems to know everything about him? Are they from Ravenous (I haven't finished it, but I don't mind spoilers)?

Are they from Ravenous (I haven't finished it, but I don't mind spoilers)? I was wondering the same thing. He doesn’t have anything to do with Ravenous. (I have listened to all the Eighth Doctor audios except Susan’s War and I don’t recognise him) I would assume that his back story will be told within Stranded at some point, but it was odd not knowing anything about him. I don’t think the Doctor even uses his name...

This may have been discussed but I’ve only just noticed it. Apparently Stranded is shifting from the “slipcover box set” format to the “jewel case in slipcover” setup? Is this the final death knell for individual covers, if even Eight’s new major line isn’t using the format?

Yes ever since they started calling all the CD releases “Collectors Editions” they have reduced the physical desirability of them.

ever since they started calling all the CD releases “Collectors Editions” they have reduced the physical desirability of them. Cheer up, it could go the other way. I saw yesterday that John Pearson is publishing his notebooks of his interviews and research when he wrote his biography of Ian Fleming. Apparently it comes across more of a narrative of writing a book than just random notes. The *standard* edition is a mere £129.00.

I could of course be wrong. I was thinking about that only the other day. I think it's mainly because they used to use individual story covers for days 5-2 and the main box artwork for "1 day to go". Since they've only got one piece of artwork for the majority of releases now, I'm thinking that's why we don't get countdowns any more.

Plus new Lucie is 84. And then there's his appearances in River, CDNM, War Master, Legacy of Time, etc. I don't know what that number is off the top of my head but I'd guess it adds up to about 90-100.

It's why I've given up on the 8th Doctor.

Yeah i think its kinda low that Big Finish charges alot for the Physical Media and then removes the booklet with the artwork and now the individual artwork its like they actively want people to stop buying CDs...
