At least I did not mention the Black & White Guardian's - plenty of fevered speculation elsewhere. Plus its long overdue for the BBC or BF to bring back the Dominators and Quarks, as everyone has such fond memories of them. A credible match for the Judoon, come to think of it. Hope I didn't sound rude, by the way. I've been reading "this character is the Rani in disguise" for years now - about Rory, Amy, River, Tasha Lem, Yaz, Graham - so I always laugh when I read about her. Same thing for Ashildr who was supposed to be Susan in series 9. The Black Guardian wouldn't seem that odd to me, though. That's OK - people like to make wild guesses so that they may be the one who gets the Crystal Ball award. I'm quite guilty of that myself, even if its not something I actually want to see quite so much of as we do. The Tardis should go back and forth in time, not through old plot lines and lists of characters and foes, if you ask me. Its a creative straitjacket that means nothing except to us fans with 57 years of backstory in our memory banks.

Wouldn’t it be amazing as sort of meta commentary of all the characters the fans always think are coming back but never do, if one day they brought back Susan, the Rani, and Omega back all in one episode! That would really catch fans off guard!😄😉

Lots of speculation online that it may be the Rani, but what about the timing of today's BF news - given that its been kept quiet until now, despite coming out on April? Perhaps a regenerated Susan is the so called fugitive, or is connected? The trailer suggests the presence of an important female character, who looks unearthly. Not that i'd walk into my local turf accountants and loudly ask to place a bet on it though... In fairness, the last recording day for Susan's War was this month, which seems a more likely reason to only announce it now.

Mark Zuckerberg is clearly under the influence of WOTAN...

Honestly, I'd guess that whoever the Fugitive turns out to be is more likely another incarnation of The Doctor than a classic era character. Even, tin-foil hat, a pre-Hartnell one, if my own theories about the Gallifreyan lie/Timeless Child thing are even remotely on point.
We'll find out the mini-mystery on Sunday but Jodie's been stressing all the mysteries over the Timeless Child and Gallifrey/Master thing may carry over to the next series too (which on past form you'd imagine would be Jodie's last).

If so I'd expect The Doctor - or rather, the pre-Doctor - to be one of the two main guest stars so either Neil Stuke or, more likely, Jo Martin. Amazing how one line from the BBC marketing gets us all going and guessing our hearts out

I’m gonna go with Occam’s razor here and say that Ruth is the Timeless Child, and this week’s episode is effectively this series’ Extremis. So Ruth will probably be under a chameleon arch and the Judoon will either pick up on something dodgy on Earth and come looking for her or maybe they’ve actually heard everything going on with Gallifrey via the fuss the Master has been kicking up.
So they’ll reveal exactly what the horrible secrets of Gallifrey’s past are relating to the Timeless Child, who wont be a pre-Hartnell Doctor or anyone significant but just an innocent child caught up in the machinations of early Gallifrey.
What exactly the twist is going to be, I haven’t a clue.

Character Options have unveiled their new 5.5inch figures - Doctor with purple top, Graham and the Recon Dalek. Curiously there's a Judoon figure that is embargoed and not allowed to be shown until after Sunday. So you'd imagine something about it must tie into the surprise being teased.

I don't know why the BBC have revealed that there will be a shock twist.

I don't know why the BBC have revealed that there will be a shock twist. It's better than revealing what the twist is, a la Simm's return I suppose. I can see the logic here. If I see an episode exactly halfway through the season and it's a Judoon one...I'm expecting nothing more than another runaround ep that won't live in the memory. If they hadn't revealed something was happening in Sunday's ep I'd honestly not be looking forward to it very much at all, at least this opens up speculation and gets a bit of buzz going. It could be a load of hype and a letdown but I'd hope that directly saying "it's bigger than the Master reveal" means it really is something worth seeing. Ideally you wouldn't reveal anything about any eps, sure, but with so much entertainment fighting for people's attention I guess there's a hype line that you want to hit. You wouldn't want too many thinking they can skip this one then realising their mistake when social media shows them what they've missed.

Cause they can't do PR anymore. Regards mark687 Yes they can. Yes they clearly can - and crucially as with Sacha Dhawan's casting much less his role they know when to keep their traps shut completely. I mean they went fair enough to CGI him out of a couple of the trailer shots so I'd say they know what to tease, what to surprise and what to reveal. I think they've done so better than the show has in a long while.

I can't put my finger on it, I suppose you could call her current state denial over Gally but its not remotely sympathetic but neither is it I'm ok, as Yaz said its a mood and its not connecting with me at the moment. Maybe she needs an old friend or face to vent to and remind her who she is.
