Reply from big finish towers
Hi Michael
Thanks for getting in contact. We're not planning to release a full list from our poll - we only wanted to crown the favourite out of all 200!
Best Wishes

So... Is there a list of all 200 in order? It wouldn't really make sense For round 1 of voting the 200 was broken down into sets of 20 with people picking 2 favourites a position in one set of 20 would not indicate how it compares with another set of 20 I imagine most listeners prefer Jubilee to Last of the Cybermen. As people only voted their 2 favourites with no points going to the other 18 it's quite likely that most brackets had multiple releases in equal last place with 0 points

So...
Say...
We did a hurt/heal for the top 200...
We could create our own chart...
Unless anyone has a better idea...
Or method

I never got those hurt/heal threads, frankly. But if other people are interested, go for it.

I never got those hurt/heal threads, frankly. But if other people are interested, go for it. As long as there aren't too many. Around early 2014 on the old forum they got pretty popular but numerous. I did start a few, I will admit. I was tempted to start one with blackjack and hookers, and forget the hurt/heal thread.

Chimes is good but totally over rated by the way.

I seem to recall on the old forum some members said they didn't like them. It sure got tough towards the end when it got whittled down to two or three fan favorites and it took a while to get a winner.

I got a bit sick of those hurt/heals as well. Let's not go there.

I don't mind them, as long as they get their own subforum.

It's a forum game where you start out with a list of something, it was usually a list of Big Finish stories on the old forum. Each item on the list starts off with ten points. Each post after the first gives one story a pre-determined number of points to one item on the list, and the same for deducting points off the total of one item. Each user taking part must wait until three other users have voted. How many points are added and deducted in each vote is determined in the first post, more points are taken off than added normally. Once an item reaches 0 or under, it's eliminated from the list. The last story remaining wins. Pitfalls can include only a small group of people voting, so a status quo of sorts is formed. Issues people not taking part in the game might have is the various threads taking up the updates page. This occurs when many Hurt/Heals are going on at any one time. To compare, it's like being on the New Posts page of Gallifrey Base in the day or so after a new episode of Doctor Who has aired. You might have to navigate a number of pages before you reach one that isn't saturated with threads about that episode.

Yes.
Those threads were simply annoying
Ideally...
We should have all 200 and we then rank them...
It's probably a job too big.
No worries... I still would rather listen to any big finish than... Well anything else

So, since Chimes of Midnight has won yet again, why is it still out of print?
Suggestion: Since Chimes is such a strong repeat winner, why doesn't BF press the CD again? There would be no additional production overhead. They could even commission new cover art (in the current MR style) to make the new release "collectible".

I think any new reprints won't happen until all of the first 50 are out of print. Are any still left? Anyway, I think if any are ever reprinted, it will be as box sets of several stories focused on specific Doctors.

The Dark Flame was the last to go out (sorry couldn't resist)

Anyway, I think re-releasing the early Eighth Doctor MR audios as box sets would make sense. There even was a limited release like that already once...

Actually, there were a small but fair number of at least a dozen of them at Chicago TARDIS. Was tempted to pick up my favorite, but didn't want to spend $30 on it.

I managed to get The Land of the Dead and The Dark Flame before they sold out. The Dark Flame sort of works as a side-step into the New Adventures, but the limited characters on audio can hamper the story when the plot is about identifying a possible bad guy.
