The newsletter just sent round an email where you can view different paths through TLV for the three Doctors, Daleks, Brian and the Kotturuh. The chronology is surprisingly complicated, and not entirely release order.

The chronology is surprisingly complicated, and not entirely release order. ...or if you want it all in one timeline, I've put them together below - the only release that has more than one placement this way is Echoes of Extinction, so I've placed the Eighth and Tenth Doctor stories separately: 1. Prologues The Dawn of the Kotturuh The Guide to the Dark Times The Last Message
2. Enter the Doctor Echoes of Extinction (Eighth Doctor) Defender of the Daleks He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not The Knight, the Fool and the Dead
3. The Three Doctors The Enemy of My Enemy Monstrous Beauty All Flesh is Grass
4. The Eighth Doctor and the Daleks Mission to the Known Mutually Assured Destruction Exit Strategy A Dalek Awakens
5. The Tenth Doctor and the Kotturuh The Minds of Magnox Master Thief Lesser Evils Echoes of Extinction (Tenth Doctor)

I’m surprised that All Flesh is Grass isn’t the final story for anyone, except the Ninth, and that’s only due to his limited involvement.

Seems like it is the lynchpin of the whole thing, rather than the ending as I'd assumed - it's the only story on all six timelines! Yeah, it’s definitely still the main release of them all, just placed a little differently. Looking forward to seeing how it pans out. I like your list in your above post that incorporates all of the stories. I’m assuming it’ll make sense as there surely must be an overall story as well as being able to follow the individual character strands.

Just finished the first issue of Defender of the Daleks. I’ll echo the other comments; there’s a glaring typo and it’s a handful of scenes stretched out across a double issue. The artwork is great and I love the Dalek Prime Strategist and the fact he sports his old battered armour, but the actual plot is thin on the ground.
We know this comes directly off the back of the Tenth Doctor’s run with Thirteen earlier on in his tenure and we know this forms a prologue to Time Lord Victorious. I don’t think that necessarily means the story has to do so much set up within itself.
Still, I’m looking forward to the second issue. We’ve got the first issue of Monstrous Beauty and The Knight, The Fool and The Dead before then though!

For all the marketing and build up, this comic was disappointingly anti-climatic. Nothing really happened. This is a far cry from some of the really amazing Titan Comics and even compared to the excellent recent team-up of 10 and 13 this is pretty weak.

Couldn’t agree with you more. Thought it was simply dreadful although I do recognise that the second issue could be much better. I really like the idea of the Hond though. A nihilistic race from the Dark Times which seeks to destroy everything include themselves. I doubt anything from substance will be done with them though if I’m to be truly honest.

I hope the audios will be much better. After all, they have some really great actors doing them. And they cannot all be anticlimatic stories without substance, can they?

It’s a bit hasty to start bashing, considering we’re only half through one story.

Maybe I am just in a critical mood today.

I think it’s fair to give a review on the single issue, whether positive, negative or a mix of both. I don’t think it’s fair to write the story off, or indeed the whole of Time Lord Victorious, but I think it’s fine to be disappointed that not much happened in the issue, particularly given it’s a double length one. The second issue could be great, but I don’t think that would justify or negate the first half of the story being a handful of scenes drawn out; if anything it’d be more frustrating that a great story wasn’t greater or had more to it.

That’s a really cool announcement. An animation isn’t something I considered as being realistic or feasible element of Time Lord Victorious, but I think it’s a fantastic way that encourages fans to buy into the other licences participating in TLV, whilst also giving something substantial for those that may decide to stick with the free elements for whatever reason.

The Doctor Who Instagram shows off some screenshots. It’s not bad looking actually, and they certainly fit in the environment better than the CGI Daleks we get in the show, which have never quite worked for me. http://instagram.com/p/CE6dN1PHenA

Sure, why not. Nice that a part of TLV will be free.
