I think the gap had already been hinted at in an interview with Steve Cole, where he mentioned they left a gap for BBC Audio so I assume The Minds of Magnox will slot in there too. Ah, I didn’t know that. Makes sense given Brian is involved, though, with Echoes of Extinction being the true epilogue. Exact quote: ‘BBC Audio wanted to do a story with Ten and Brian so we put space into Una’s novel where other adventures could conceivably happen.’ Here’s the source: www.thewhoshelf.com/2020/10/01/tlv-steve-cole-interview/

Really good trailer for The Road to the Dark Times has been shared. Some great editing. Honestly i find some of the episode choices kinda odd i would have added
The Enemy Within/TV Movie (as The 8th Doctor is a main doctor in the TLV project and lets face it McGann is always worth being on screen) Dalek (agian as The 9th Doctor is another main doctor in the TLV Project and Dalek deals a lot with The Doctor's Grief and probably adds emotional weight to why his next incarnation would want to go TLV)
School Reunion (The First seed of The Time Lord Victorious and the start of 10's decent into madness)

I think you’ve missed the point of the premise of the BluRay there. This is specifically about The Dark Times, the creatures and civilisations from there and how they fit into the narrative. Your examples don’t really suit that.

I take it then the stories featuring Gods of Ragnarok and the likes of the Great Intelligence aren’t included here because they come from way beyond the Dark Times?

While thats true i do feel that having an 8th and 9th Doctor TV Stories would be neat to introduce new viewers and people introduced to the TLV Project that way when they hear the Big Finish Audios they can know that thats The 8th Doctor or when they read The 9th Doctor comics they can reference the 9th doctor TV story on the Blu ray but agian thats my 2cents

Regards mark687 I LOVE the titles at the end: I take it then the stories featuring Gods of Ragnarok and the likes of the Great Intelligence aren’t included here because they come from way beyond the Dark Times? Well... also those episodes aren't available on Blu-ray...

Yesterday’s newsletter contains Secrets of Time Lord Victorious #6. Which has the truly shocking revelation that the Doctor shouldn't trust the Daleks. Couldn’t see that one coming.

Ha, they have been a little lacklustre haven’t they? Could’ve been a great opportunity for insights into other events that happened during the Dark Times or as a cause of Ten’s actions.

Pathfinder launched. It’s a set of 5 questions to tailor Time Lord Victorious based on your interests. It’s pretty cool and will hopefully reiterate that it’s not quite one massive story.

Just a heads up for those that might miss this in the BF specific TLV thread. The vinyl of Echoes of Extinction has been delayed until February, with the download following a week later.
I think it’s fair that both have been delayed to ensure fans can listen and discuss without a large few month gap. I also think it’ll benefit the project better by having the story that’s essentially both a prologue and an epilogue arrive after the project will have died down a bit.
That’s not to say Time Lord Victorious will disappear. I genuinely believe it’ll be an era that’s revisited and we will get the odd story, as there’s plenty of scope. I think with hindsight The Dark Times would’ve been a more appropriate name, with Time Lord Victorious being a subtitle for the core of the story.

I’ve received an email from Escape Hunt advertising their play at home Doctor Who game The Hollow Planet. I think I’ve mentioned before that it’s a prequel to A Dalek Awakens, which in turn links to at least two other pieces of Time Lord Victorious, but interestingly Escape Hunt have officially said The Hollow Planet is part of TLV. That might seem obvious, given it’s a prequel, but let’s be honest, you could spend hours linking stories up with TLV, but it doesn’t necessarily mean they are! It’s £15 to play at home for 2-6 players. Obviously the bigger your household the better value for money! playathome-uk.escapehunt.com/collections/print-play-games/products/doctor-who-the-hollow-planet

'Sad to hear about the delay of 'Echoes' but, given current circumstances, it's probably for the best...
A month after release (and ordering), my copy of 'Defender Of The Daleks' part 2 is, finally, on its way to me from Forbidden Planet. Hoo-blummin'-ray!
