HHMM I still can't believe we only got David Tennant in for one side of a Vinyl in this crossover, a crossover that centered on him. Even a one hour release of him going full TLV would have been great. What could have been... That said, I didn't mind the two master short trips.

I don't think that was ever something that could have been. This was written before Covid, any Tennant contribution would have to be based around "something we can grab him for when he's recording the next set of 10DAs", and when lockdown hit it was too late to change plans to include him more substantially.

I very much enjoyed TLV, the Mcgann trilogy was entertaining and Echoes of Extinction an interesting experiment.
I enjoyed the books but was hoping for more scenes with 8 and 9.
I think a project that crosses over various mediums can work really well, it's very difficult ask though, to please fans and the casual buyer.
At least with audio drama, comics and books you can sit on the material until you've truly honed all the components.
