The return of Sheridan Smith!(Walks away singing"Dreamin im only Dreamin") I keep singing "It's Christmas!" loudly and hoping she'll tell me to shut up! Imagine Lucie with the Ninth Doctor, she'd break him out of his funk all right.

Now that we've established that the Doctor's "mind mansion" is him in the console room showing off to a companion, who would War show off to? Lucie or Molly makes sense.

I'd almost rather it be a new companion, that War traveled with, versus one from a previous companion. Because if we go that far, maybe Susan, or Ian. Someone to remind him of what "humanity" he has left.

Ohh Hurt and William Rusell, arguing morality. OHHH MY GOD. That could explain all the Companion Chronicles, they're the version of past companions the Doctor of War has in his head trying to make a point. His conscience having a word with him via episodical narrative excursions.

I think this is where I need to step off this train. You clearly have your opinion, and no amount of outside evidence is going to sway you from it. My only advice is to stop being so oppressively negative, and have a bit of hope. To be fair those of us who know me from other forums will agree that I'm usually the optimistic one Anyone???

He has a funny way of showing being proud. Probably paid a fair sum to do the in-character stuff. You mean like the time he helped 2 fans propose in his own time for free? Really hating fandom there And now there's today's story of his further free Doctor Who work too.

I'm intrigued to know more about what Matthew said to Nick about that play offending him. I'll have to ask one of them next time I see them. The very first time I interviewed Matthew he said that if they had asked him at the time to come back and play an aged insane Adric then - even thought he was still against coming back to play the 15 year old again - he would have done that. Admittedly, I only heard that like third or fourth hand. So, perhaps not the best thing to repeat. I've heard elsewhere people report that Nick spoke of Matthew telling him this.

I'll admit this is a lovely thing for Christopher Eccleston to do and I respect all celebrities that do things like this even if I don't agree with their TV/film/whatever related choices. Still doesn't change my opinion of him though.

1. Adric in the Main Range, or an announcement that he'll be in series 7 of the FDA's 2. A NuWho Doctor Crossing over with A classic Doctor 3. BF's output being better than the TV series (Seeing as this has been the case since 2014 onwards) 4. 11th Doctor Audios 5. 10 with another companion 6. A new Doctor getting a New Companion 7. THE RETURN OF COLONEL HUGH SPINDLETON (Someone make this happen) 8. Blake's 7 with Steven Grief as Travis, with a possible recast of Gan, maybe by Owen Aaronovitch 9. A script-Writing compettion (because I want to write something) 10. Christopher Tranchell makes a return to Survivors as Paul (I'm only on series 1 so Paul might be dead, which knowing survivors wouldn't surprising)

I wonder if we'll get a crossover element across the Doctor Who ranges at some point to promote the non-revival ranges to the new customers. Perhaps, a character The Doctor rescues in The Early Adventures who pops up in other stories across the ranges, perhaps cultimanting in a small-scale War Doctor tale in which this character confronts The Doctor about what he has become in the long dark night of the Time War.

1. Adric in the Main Range, or an announcement that he'll be in series 7 of the FDA's Can't see that happening. Adric is too unpopular; then again, Bonnie Langford is in the main range. The 4th Doctor meeting the 10th perhaps? It would be interesting to see the two most popular and iconic Doctors meet each other. That's debatable. The main series has been incredible and Peter Capaldi is fantastic as the Doctor. I have a feeling this could go either way: either they'll announce it for 2017 in place of a 10th Doctor Adventure Volume 2 or Matt Smith won't join until 2018 and 2017 will see the 10th Doctor Adventures Volume 2 with Freema Ageyman returning as Martha Jones. See above: probably Martha. Hmm...wouldn't it be great to see the War Doctor get a companion? We do know there's three more box sets to be released with his incarnation... Yes please. I'd certainly give it a go!

I think it's a matter of when for Adric in the main range. The fifth dr box set was said to be popular along with award winning. I think they will keep a multi doctor story with 10 for a special occasion. 55th anniversary in 2017 or the 20th anniversary of doctor who in 2019 are the 2 next big ones. As much as I'd like tennant to work with other companions 1 of his stipulations to working for big finish is that it had to be Catherine tate

It seems unlikely to me, considering David Tennant is a massive Whovian and therefore would play the Doctor again at the drop of a hat.

It seems unlikely to me, considering David Tennant is a massive Whovian and therefore would play the Doctor again at the drop of a hat. I vaguely remember Catherine Tate saying in an interview she would have happily stayed on for for Series 5 if Tennant/Moffat had asked her to, maybe Tenannt asked to work with Tate first because he felt they had the most interesting Doctor/Companion relationship and/or the most new ground to cover in new audio stories? Tate and Tennant are very close friends and have worked together several times since they left the TV show, so it wouldn't surprise me if he wanted to work with her first just for the sheer fun of it, Tennant hasn't done a BF audio in close to a decade so he may have felt more comfortable finding his feet again with a familiar friend at his side to help. Personally Tate and Tennant remain my favourite companion duo from New Who, I don't think Martha is quite as popular, and Piper and Tennant would bring alot of emotional baggage tied up with Rose/10's love story that could prove intrusive when trying to establish a new fanbase with those unfamiliar with the audio drama format.

Life is more complicated than 'at the drop of hat' for Tennant and 'never ever ever anything ever' for Eccleston.

Over at Galifrey base is where I read that by people who were at Chicago tardis. It was also mentioned that it took a year of negotiations for Tate and tennant on board compared with about 2 weeks to get hurt on board so definitely not at a drop of a hat
