I'm not saying he isn't a professional or slamming him (if anything, my comment is meant as a compliment for David Tennant) but judging by the roles he takes on he seems to have a sense of loyalty towards things he's a fan of. One example that's not Doctor Who: he clearly seems to be a Marvel fan given he posed for a picture in their studio on Twitter and he agreed to do Jessica Jones. Would any actor turn down Marvel? You don't need to be a fan to say yes to them! Exactly. When you have the likes of Robert Redford signing up, you know you are talking major league. As for Tennant, if you are in a position to work, you work. If you are able to have your fan interests dovetail into the work, then so much the better but the operative word continues to be work.

You don't need to be a fan to say yes to them! Actors get a lot more exposure through working with Marvel, depending on the role. It'll be tough for David Tennant to break out of people seeing him as the Tenth Doctor, although his role in Jessica Jones should help with that.

The announcement of the 'last' Seventh Doctor tale. I could see that, given the success of The Sixth Doctor: The Last Adventure. Could be a follow-up called The Seventh Doctor: The Last Adventure that ends with him taking the Master's remains to Skaro.

The announcement of the 'last' Seventh Doctor tale. Or the "last" Ace tale. Or how about a pack of 2. 1 2 disc story on how ace left and 1 2disc story leading up to the tv movie

Eww. What a terrible idea. Ace could blow up the Clara splinter with Nitro-Nine. Ha.I'm not a Clara hater, although I don't think Moffat knew what he wanted out of the character most of the time, but if they were to produce Ace's true exit the last thing I want is Clara anywhere near it. It should be Ace's, and the 7th Doctor's, moment.

It could be a similar situation to Hell Bent only with the Doctor becoming too dark and manipulative over Ace.

With Ace meeting a Clara echo. Maybe they could reveal that Ace WAS a Clara Splinter.

Hell, if anything Kilgrave will put people off his Doctor. It already has, for some fans. Personally, I think that's just silly. He's an actor, folks, playing his part. Get over it!

I remember when David Tennant started as the Doctor my wife wasn't initially very keen on him becuase she had recently watched him in something where he was a horrible murderer (I think), however he soon won her around! Unfortunately unless the actor looks completely different you do sometimes have preconceptions based on their past performances. Whenever I see Peirce Bronsnan in a movie I half expect him to be playing James Bond undercover.

Most, if not all, of the Doctors have played nasty characters.

Let one of the longest serving companions have her exit free of any New Series influence. Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should. Or that it would make any sense.
