Gotta love BF humour In all honesty, I'd be fascinated to see something like the Tour de France done on Peladon (the Tour de Peladon). That sounds wild (although, I'm not sure how far it'd go along before it devolved into a round of Wacky Races...).

That sounds wild (although, I'm not sure how far it'd go along before it devolved into a round of Wacky Races...). You mean... *roll of thunder, roar of Aggedor (in the crowd of supporters)...* "The Curse of Peloton" 'Hang on Jo, we can take the next bend much faster!' 'OOOH that's what I was afraid you'd say!' 'Don't you trust my piloting?' 'This isn't the TARDIS - and even then, only sometimes!' 'Never mind, we'll soon leave Ssorg in our dust! And catch up with Alpha Centauri - I thought they looked smug at the start - pedalling with six arms at once is just not cricket! But when I flip this switch... 'Woaaah I'm not sure putting Bessie's superdrive on a racing bike is in the rules Doctor wooahhh!' 'Yes it is, I wrote them when I was the Chairman Delegate! Ha ha! Victory will be mine! Ha ha!!' 'You know Doctor just sometimes I can believe you and the Master were friends once - wwwooooahh! there goes another part of my dress you should have let me change aaaahhhh!' (To be continued! )

I’m hoping this’ll turn into a multi box set world building type thing like The Robots. Now that would be excellent!

Well dammit I was interested in this set after hearing The Prisoner of Peladon but now buying it means endorsing Big Finish’s rapid crossover fever. Oh well, time to wait for reviews.
Coming year is a big boost for Sixie & Mel content, which is nice as they’re an underused combination.

If I were to be cynical, it does make me wonder if they thought a boxset for Peladon without the inclusion of recognisable DW characters (outside of the obligatory Ice Warriors) wouldn’t sell well.

Well if that was their plan then its worked. I had zero interest but, now its got Paul and Colin in it, I am a LOT more intrigued

Sacrifice me to Aggador but i don't think it would. The TV Eps are the same plot twice and its not Pertwee's best work so I don't think a large audience would clamor for a return without Doctor involement . Regards mark687

I don’t think it’s cynical at all to think that. Tales from New Earth lacked it and ended up seemingly dying a death. It was free with DWM a year after release. River and solo Eighth Doctor appeals, but I’m not sure if it’s enough to warrant buying the set. The variety of writers is nice, but none of the stories sound intriguing. It’s definitely a cast list and a half, though!

Well there was NO WAY it was Not going to have crossover elements and it seems Mel is also the Flavour of the Year as it seems are ICE WARRIORS but since they have a history with Peladon we can let that one go.

I'm confused. Is the Doctor's involvement news? I thought the original announcement made it patently clear. I'm surprised there's two stories without them, tbh. This is clearly a Doctor Who range/boxset, not a spinoff.

As for cross over fever....that’s the way its been since the beginning so i cannot say its anything new at all...everyone has met everyone else, the Doctor isnt a mysterious figure everyone has met him everyone has met someone who has met him 😂

To be fair, the "crossover elements" here are the Doctor appearing in two Doctor Who stories & River encountering elements from a classic story (which is pretty much her main thing these days).
It's no Derek Jacobi and Jamie McCrimmon vs the Eleven vs the Cyber-Silurians of Axos.

And I REALLY LIKED this as the cover😭 Same here!
I preordered this and am still excited to hear it but I wasn't aware we'd be getting quite so many additions - Ice Warriors, Aggedor, King Peladon: yes. Sixth Doctor, Eighth Doctor, Mel, River Song: not so much.
Perhaps I really am getting 'Who-ed out', but this cross-over makes me less interested in the set, rather than more. Still sounds good though!

To be fair on my part, that is quite the cast they have lined up for this set.

I think River's involvement is the only one that really stands out, but I love her so I don't mind it so much and it's more of an incentive for me to buy. Also nice to see more Six/Mel!

Well, I was not interested at all at first. But now they had to get River and Sixie involved, so I think I will have to get this. Since I get pretty much anything that has Colin in it.
