There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

… as if it happened only yesterday? A sad day. Meat Loaf was fun. I thought a lot of his songs were sleazy and accurate for their portrayal of young men, but he and Steinman knew how to put together a banger of a song.

Vale Mister Loaf, as he was fondly known by Australians of a certain generation.

Gutted to hear Meat Loaf passing, Bat Out Of Hell 1 & 2 are two phenomenal rock albums.
This man will never be forgotten because his legacy & contributions to music will always be remembered.

My teenage years would not have been the same without him. The first BOOH album was almost worn out with the amount that it was played, and my friends and I were Rocky Horror fanatics. We would head to the Eight Street Playhouse in Greenwich Village at least every other month for the midnight showing. Great times. He had some rough times in his life. RIP

And now we've lost Barry Cryer, the comedian's comedian. If you're not British, and don't know how important he was, this is a guy who worked with EVERYBODY. Up to and including both Bob Hope and Richard Briers Pryor. Then read the list of tributes:
Also, Robert Rankin posted this on his Facebook page: The mind can only boggle as to what that evening was like.

And now we've lost Barry Cryer, the comedian's comedian. And *now*, following the death of ISIHAC's Barry Cryer, ISIRTA's Jo Kendall has also passed away

Acclaimed comic strip artist Ian Kennedy has passed away. Anyone who reads 2000ad, or remembers Eagle, Warlord, Starlord and Bullet (among other UK comics), will doubtless have been in awe of Ian's work over the years, just as I have been. RIP, and thanks.

What a pity. Did a lot of work for Commando as I seem to recall as well.
