Well I enjoyed that.
The Sontaran story-line was excellent (once again though this Doctor is in this instance fully in command for a change, without any regular companions to witness it) One Dan and his Dog are just charming, Yaz heading for some kind of fall I suspect. Vinder and Mine Guy and the newish notion of Time as a Force intrigue. Minor drawback the Swarm, characters doing a victory "Ohh I'm Evil Let Chaos Reign"bit bores at the end of the story never mind just 2 Chapters in.

I'm genuinely sad that Jodie is leaving, but thrilled that she gets to go out on such an incredible high.

Well for a minute when Starky spoke that somehow we would be treading a fine line ....thankfully it didn’t occur Well, you're a Scot like me, you must have clocked who played Skaak - Scottish comedy icon Jonathan Watson - Only An Excuse, Rab C. Nesitt and a thousand more. It was that horrible moment when he kind of licked his lips

And you're not alone - seeing a lot of folk on twitter share the sentiment.
(Obviously, it may not be, but then, nobody saw the Morbius canonizing too, so...)
Please no. Please don't drop the ball Chibbers & bring us that lungbarrow c**p! Oh and then we can have LOOMs 😂😜 i genuinely took it as time is in a state of confusion and deconstruction but could see it also as a genuinely creepy place for the Doctor to meet the Angels.Let’s be honest he is juggling a lot of balls and scenarios but i don't think they are just for flashy show as Moffat would do and then try to explain unsuccessfully further down the line.

Enjoyed it, Dan with his Wok cracked me up.
Jodie was excellent the Doctor using the catapult was brilliant, my only gripe is what muckypup pointed out 'how the hell did Burt Reynolds move hundreds of barrels and lay a mile of fuse powder without the doctor noticing it, or the Sontarons missing worse than the dopest of stormtroopers'……
Yup completely agree, overall a entertaining episode which has me hooked for next week.
4/5.

Good episode and great use of the Sontarans. I was especially interested in Yaz and Vinder's mysterious plotline.
I think we wont see more of the Sontarans this year but wonder howthe Sontarans got temporal technology when the point of the Two Doctors was that they don't have this technology. Is it like the vortex manipulator, they have time travel but of poor quality?
I also did not understand how not!Strax healed himself on his own without the apparatus that cleanse Sontarans of Earth atmosphere.
I am not understanding something with Yaz: in episode 1, she said she is an ex PC but she introduces herself to Vinder like she is still part of the police.
Theory time:
I remember that Chinall explicitely stated he likes Marc Platt but never read Lungbarrow at a Q&A panel, so I am doubtful he would use that name for the floating creaking house we saw. I think it was in the lead up to series 12 it happened?
The whole situation in the temple makes me think that Chibnall will tackle the anchoring of the thread by Time Lords, creating history as we know it. It's a concept from the expanded universe but he may have thought about it indepedently. Lines of dialogue seems to indicate that the temple is where time itself begins. probably it was there that the Time Lords tamed time when it was a destructive entity like Swarm says? Also, the panopticon of series 12 looks a lot like this temple and i don't think it's a coincidence.
I also noticed that the moura(?) were quantum locked, which is how the Weeping Angels are described too. Maybe we will see their origin story being related to the temple.

I very much doubt the Timelords are behind the Temple i think this is an older race as we now know from Greek Mythology . The time lords travelled in TIME they kept a Timeline in an order on the way of their own vision. This Race “ contain “ Time that the Timelords travel through. Without this race Timetravel probably is chaotic and destructive...more to the point who caused the destruction in the temple? It is Time to move away from the all powerful Timelords i think. If this race were so powerful and the Doctor hadn’t even heard of them then it is not inconceivable given Time Lord arrogance that something else existed that they knew nothing about and we only learn of when the Flux is unleashed. Anyways its nice to have something to enthuse instead of irritate 😂

I keep thinking about Jodie’s performance in War of the Sontarans. I think it’s her best yet and I really think it’s because she’s solo for most of it. I like all of her companions - particularly Graham and now Dan - but I really think she excels in conversations with just one of them, or on her own.
I do think it’s a shame that she won’t be companionless for the remainder of her tenure, but hopefully we do get a couple more opportunities like last night. The definitive Thirteen will be if Jodie does Big Finish with Mandip or on her own; the audio work she’s done for various things so far solidifies that.

The Timeless Children arc will NOT be reset. Sorry to disappoint all you that don't like it. Yes well i honestly think it will 😘 It won't. The Division & Doctor Who's memory wipes are part of this plot. It won't be undone.
