One of the great things about these sets is they are a testament to the strong female characters present at Big Finish.
I’d be quite receptive to this becoming a yearly set of releases, there are still plenty of characters BF could use in further sets.
As for this set, I’m quite looking forward to the Romana and the Jo story, I’m just surprised it took BF this long to do a story set during Romana’s time in Espace.
Pre ordered this morning!

See, that's the only thing I could think of either. I was feeling more than a little confused as to why Big Finish would want to make a box set around that event in a similar vein to this one...

I have sent BF my complaint letter for a March 1st boxset to come out the week before.
Yes, St. Davids Day. Us Davids need representation and BF have ALL the tools: David Tennant, David Bradley and David Warner's Doctors all meet David Troughton on Peladon and take on David Banks Cybermen and guest star David Harewood as an untill now unseen Master - and written by David Llewellyn.....its hard to feel represented if that doesn't happen. Oh, and a story with The Doctor taking David Bowie to meet Spiders From Mars in there too.
The ladies more than deserve celebration but the above just shows what Davids do, too. And that is important. We cant Davidwash history.

Dropped by to comment on the new Eighth of March boxset and Rani's (!!) audio debut (ooh..the possibilities) and instead find my focus shifting to April 25th and the excellent suggestion of a boxset to mark International Amigurumi Day. I can see it now...a three part musical extravaganza set in Japan as various Doctors sing their way through battle with a new breed of crocheted Scorchies..
As for November 14th..I am totally up for a boxset to celebrate that day too. I mean, why should our American friends have all the fun on National Spicy Guacamole Day? Give us a Doctor and a companion, throw in a bag of chips and a dangerous quest for the perfect Guacamole recipe and I'll preorder tomorrow!
C'mon Big Finish..I've laid the foundations. Do your thing..🤪

Perfect occasion to introduce Gabby Gonzalez to audio, too!

[ i just thought since The 8th of March Range focuses exclusively on the Female Companions of The Series why not also have a Boxset simply focusing on the male companions of the series
which considering that there aren't that many in total it would be neat to explore companions like Steven Taylor, Jamie McCrimmon, Turlough, The Brigaider, Jackson Lake, Rory Williams and Wilf on their own adventures and see what they are like outside of their life with the doctor I think the problem would be that International Women's Day is about how Women Can Do Anything, where as International Men's Day is about how Men Can't Speak to Anyone About Their Crippling Depression And Then They Find a Lump, if the events my employer hold for the respective occasions is anything to go by. I don't think a story about the Brig sitting in a corner of his nursing home waiting for the 11th Doctor to arrive but he never does, would be a good seller.

if Big Finish want to get more female writers that's great totally on board with that as Big Finish needs new blood for their ranges

We are still only on our first female as the main character and face of the franchise, and we know the abuse taken by Jodie from some for having the cheek to accept one of the highest profile jobs on TV. Until that scenario alters and we can have a much more tolerant fanbase..I think celebrating not just some of the wonderful women of the show but how BF has developed and expanded them far beyond what some of them were on screen is to be held up as an example. And BF acknowleded a few years back a lack of diversity behind the scenes and addressed that too. Its just a cause for celebration. I would have Rebecca Root in there too, personally - but there is no doubt a Vol 3 to be made! "BF..we love women" - probably not a very smart ident idea! OK..."BF, for the love of women". Wait...worse. "BF...woke SJWs and proud" - there. Nailed it! www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6z6A5TP7uA

Considering that you wrote a reply to me that had nothing to do with what i wrote regarding a box set for male companions and as a response i am giving you the response of ignoring you while you ignored what i said
and lol you don't know me pal i am kind to people who reciprocate

Well given that Volume 1 had a pilot for the paternoster gang I wonder if this would be testing the waters for A Romana in Espace Spin off and a Rani/ Jo Grant Spin off Unlike the first Boxset this looks quite promising I do wonder if there will be a 14th of November Boxset Why what happen on 14th november?
