GERONIMO indeed!
I'm halfway through the set and have to say Fantastic and Molto Bene! I feel transported back to a time were we get a hidden season 7 and half. I love all the Doctors but 11 has a special place in my heart, I'd watched Doctor Who for years but through the Matt Smith years I got to introduce my little sister to the show and see the her glued to the magic of Who, not a day went by where I wasn't asked about how the TARDIS worked or why do the Doctor and River keep meeting in the wrong order.
Jacob is great as the Doctor, I do hope he reconsiders leaving Big Finish, even if it's years down the line. The new companion is promising and the stories really good, I've not heard anything from these writers before so it's always pleasant to hear something good. Looking forward to hearing ep 3 and then the next set.

The House of Masks keeps up the good quality. More than simply emulating the Smith era, this set seems to get what made it work.
I also really like the sides of the Eleventh Doctor they’re leaning into here. Still pulling himself together from his dark moments in retirement, he comes across as quite vulnerable beneath the surface and harbouring a lot of grief. It’s the same note DWM’s 50th Hunters of the Burning Stone leaned into and it works very well here with him paired with a companion now going through a similar time in her life.

Finished the set and The End stuck the landing. Everything in this story is firing on all cylinders. Only flaw is I’m not 100% sure what the Doctor did with the TARDIS to fix it all but that’s something for re-listens to help with.
I’m definitely onboard for the rest of this saga.

Although I notice on the poll someone has rated this set a bottom score of 1 !?

I am in agreement, this set is marvelous! And Valerie is my favorite original BF companion since Lucie Miller. I love her. I actually hope we get to have her around for a while, although I'm not holding out hope given that these sets are the end of the range for the time being. Ah well. I will enjoy these stories while we have them.

This set really caught me by surprise, of all this year's releases I'd have never thought this would be my favourite.
Three great stories, with a cast clearly having a blast. I went in to the set knowing very little, only that it's set between the Snowmen and the Bells of Saint Johns. I recommend going spoiler free if possible, if I try to describe the episodes it feels like I won't do them justice.

Like everyone else, I loved this! Three great stories, a brilliant new companion, writers making their stamp on a previously unexplored era whilst understanding the magic of the Smith era. I love Valerie and I love the portrayal of Eleven in this, together they make for a lovely pairing and I can't wait to hear more and see the ongoing mystery unfold.
It's releases like this which remind you just how great Big Finish are; forging new eras with a variety of writers, new companions and no reliance on returning elements or gimmicks. I think Geronimo is my favourite release of the year so far.

I am still on the fence if I should get this.... looking for something fresh and new and none of the usual re-hash that has been so frequent recently....

I found the set to be pretty re-hash free, apart from references to the search for Clara which are only occasional to mark when this is set. The three stories are mostly self-contained, no returning monsters or companions. The episodes emulate the era really well, whilst also feeling fresh. If you like the Eleventh Doctor I'd say there's a really good chance you'll have a lot of fun with this set.

I really, really liked this set. It feels fresh and it’s incredibly well written, with some truly heart-touching moments throughout. It feels so much like what Doctor Who felt like in 2013 - in fact, the only thing missing for me was the swelling Murray Gold score - but it’s also it’s own thing too in the way the best of Big Finish’s output often is.
I think this might be a new favorite for me!

This set was wonderful. (I’ve had a little bit of BF fatigue for the last year or so, since I began doing the rerun of the MR. I think it brought into focus the fact that I wasn’t enjoying some of the new output as much, and at the same time, I was struggling getting through some of the earlier stories for the 10th or so time.)
But setting this set firmly after the end of season 7A works brilliantly. The Doctor is looking for Clara, but finds a remarkable companion in Valerie. I listened to all three stories on Sunday over a long drive. And multiple times I wanted to turn to someone in the car and express how much I was enjoying Jacob Dudman’s portrayal of the Doctor (alas this was a solo trip 😂). The stories feel fresh, the dialogue between the leads sparkles, and I’m so, so glad I bought sets 3-6.
I wasn’t completely sold before, but I’m going to mourn the loss of Jacob as the 11th. A great set, a fantastic setup to the series, and a welcome reminder of why I love BF.
An easy, whole hearted recommendation.

All four sets now ordered!
Thank you to everyone who has posted and helped me make up my mind.
This is a series I had been hoping for, however the spacing of the releases and the price did made me pause…Now seeing such a positive reaction on here has convinced me.
