Am I just misremembering it or was Louise Jameson meant to be writing a Cleopatra story at some point?
If that’s the case, then perhaps that’s the second story in this set?

Given this is being released under the Eighth of March banner and as part of "The Worlds of Doctor Who", I am assuming the second story is something totally different (i.e. not a 4DA). Also, I note that on the cast list Tom is billed third, behind Louise and Holly Jackson Walters, which would suggest his appearance is similar to Sylv's in the Ace/Benny story from the first set.

Only slightly and good memory Tom said he recorded a Cleopatra story just before COVID no mention of which Companions though Regards mark687

Just some thoughts, but the following haven't appeared in the first two volumes of this series and could conceivably be in this one: - Sadie Miller's Sarah Jane - Rose - Missy
The first two sets featured episodes with BF debutants which were clearly pilots for full series (the Paternoster Gang in Vol. 1 and Rani in Vol. 2), so it will be interesting to see if that pattern holds here. (The recording dates on the product page indicate this set was all done in early 2022, so it doesn't seem likely there'll be a Fugitive Doctor story.)

Pleasantly surprised by this one. I’ve long confessed of Leela fatigue, particularly during her run with the Fourth Doctor, but I’ve also wanted another story from Louise for quite a while, as I loved The Abandoned and think it’s overlooked. With Louise penning Leela and in a story that presumably has the Doctor in a glorified cameo role, then it could be something quite special.
Curious what the other story in the set will be. Or will it be stories? The running time is enough for three 60 minutes, but there’s no mention of how long A Ghost of Alchemy is and the article only mentions further news of a second story. A Fugitive Doctor episode to whet the appetite for their range would’ve been appropriate to announce on the third anniversary of the first appearance!

The product page specifies "two stories"; guess it depends on what the other one turns out to be, but if it's a pilot for a future spin-off in the same way as the Paternoster Gang and Rani stories in the first two sets it might be the case that the Alchemy is the two-discer? Kind of intrigued that we're only getting the details on the first story now, when there's only six weeks between now and release; at the risk of raising expectations, maybe the second one is something that might overshadow the first?

Could the second story possibly be a Charley Pollard story to lead into a potential third volume?

Well, I am actually pretty excited about this, even if I did not get the last Women's day release. Yes, yes, I also suffer from Leela fatigue, however, Marie Curie is one of my big heroes and I have been waiting for her to appear in Who for ages. I think this will be right up my alley. I had refrained from buying the last one since the stories sounded uninspired (and from the reviews, turned out to be) but this one has me definitely interested. Even if the second story is something uninspired like River Song hooking up with Madame Vastra to save the second Doctor from the Daleks (just doing a wild guess here, but knowing Big Finish, this will be a thing. Eventually ). I think this might still be a worthwhile set.

As of right now this is a wait for a sale audio. I’m looking forward to it, but limited money and the price hike means I have to be very picky. The second story might sell me on picking it up on release, especially if the most recent car park photo in twitter is an indication of who might be a lead.

I can't say I've ever really 'followed' the 8th of March sets (I've heard the first but not the second), but this story sounds interesting enough, I guess? I'll probably give it a listen to at some point, but I'd need to get round to listening to the second one beforehand...

So from four stories to three to two. It’s the same length as the last set though.

Count me as another one with Leela fatigue, although it's not really an issue here - I don't mind the character so much in her "proper" setting (ie travelling with Tom or post-Tom on Gallifrey), what annoys me is the continual popping up in other ranges that there is no good or non-contrived in-universe reason for Leela to appear in.

The details for A Ghost of Alchemy has certainly piqued my interest - Classic Who meeting a historical figure, the possibility that Tom Baker's Doctor might be cheering from the sidelines for this one and the even bigger possibility that Louise has given herself a scene or two to really flex her acting chops. If this was a standalone Fourth Doctor Adventures release I'd probably would be keying in the numbers on my debit card into the website's payment screen right now.
But...there is a second, as yet unannounced story. And it is that which has not only piqued my interest but set my wild speculation glands 'a-tingling'. I think we can all agree it's probably going to be a two part event and considering what this year I'll go further and guess a celebration of sixty years of women in Doctor Who. As to what form that celebration would take? Well, my imagination is having a great deal of fun coming up with original takes on that particular scenario..(wonder what Suranne Jones is up to these days...🤔)
Keeping my fingers crossed that I'm close on my speculating. I wonder how long we have to wait for it to be released? 🤪
