I had half wondered whether there would be an announcement of another two boxsets given how much world building there has been in this series and how brilliantly Nicola and Claire perform off each other as sisters. But clearly (and sadly) not. A shame really, as this has been a consistently strong series in my humble opinion.
But..as it is the end of The Robots I am curious where Big Finish intend taking Kaldor and the Chenka sisters after the final volume. The appearance of SV77 on the artwork suggests one possibility, but the city burning hints strongly at another. Will everything be wrapped up in a neat bow by the end of the third story? Or will things be left open ended to be picked up at a later date elsewhere? Could all of this have been laying the foundations for Liv's eventual departure from the Eighth? And we know Liv's fate lies with Tania, but what of Tula?
So many questions, so many possibilities and so much speculating to do. April really cannot come fast enough. 😊

I think there will be a backdoor back in so they can give us more stories. I actually would want to bet with you that we might even get a "sequel" with the 8th Doctor, Liv and Helen coming back to Kaldor.... (and I would actually really love that!). There, they could also tie off the story for Tula.
However, I do NOT believe that Liv will stay on Kaldor.... she will go back to Tania, as heard in Stranded.

The Good: I adore this series and have been waiting for the next volume. I'm really looking forward to it.
The bad: I adore this series and now it will be over. I'm really not looking forward to it.

I’ll also miss the series, but I’m glad it’s reached a natural ending point, especially since Liv/Walker doesn’t seem to be going anytime soon.

I finished this set this morning, and it doesn't disappoint. Unless you consider the fact that it's finished a disappointment. I thought the last two stories were both exceptionally good. Nicola Walker and Claire Rushbrook are such assets for Big Finish, and the should keep the stories coming for these two. Face to Face was a treat to hear. After about 5 min in I double checked the story details and thought, of course this a Dorney story! This one was quite well written, well acted and extremely pacey. I loved the twists and turns, and demonstrates that Tula is just as smart and capable of outwitting the bad guy as Liv. And while the release does give us a definite end to Liv's year on Kaldor, it does leave the door open for more stories with the Chenka sisters. And that's terrific.
I have loved this range from beginning to end. Yes, some chapters are better than others, but there isn't a single bad, boring or sub par story in any of the sets. I wish we still had David Collings for more Poul stories, but other than that I can't think of a thing wrong with it.

Do I need to hear all those before starting on "The Robots"? I have 4 boxsets here so far, haven't started yet..
Thanks,

Thanks,
All six Robots sets take place during the 1st episode of Ravenous 2, so that’s as far as you need to get.

Thanks,
Nah. Liv Chenka spends a year on Kaldor after she was dropped off by the Doctor is all you need to know.
