I'm really enjoying the Super titles at the moment. I'm hoping Jonathan Kent is going to be with us for a long time, although I've know fandoms to be a be negative about kid characters. Superman is probably my favourite out of the comics, because of all the SupeyDad and Son bonding.
It's interesting that they literally brought in the pre-Flashpoint Superman and Lois for the Rebirth title (as well as getting to call their mini-series Superman: Lois and Clark). They're not the only refugees from old timelines either.

cyborg rebirth 1 a solid book never heard of either the writer or artist . the art reminded me quite a bit of a tom grummet a favorite of mine. hs art just screams super hero and i think tony kordos here does a good super hero comic as well. its a good jumping on point for any reader new or old. or those that want to get ready for movie cyborg. good set up issue with some fun art. but dc keep trying to make cyborg a bigger part of the dcu in doing so makes him so much more powerful than the 6 gazzilion dollar man cyborg of my youth. they want him as a titan and a founding member of the justice league. im not sure i can commit.

The first volume of The Saga of a Swamp Thing. All I can think of whenever I see the Floronic Man is Harrison Chase and The Seeds of Doom. "Yes... Yes, the plants must win."

Batman #6, the epilogue to Tom King's first arc I am Gotham. It's an emotionally powerful issue and if you don't feel anything by the end, you need to be carted off to Arkham Asylum (and send back when you inevitably escape). Plus there's a really great line from Alfred that only he would be allowed to get away with. Looking forward the the Night of the Monster Men crossover.

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #4. The plot gets moving, plus Guy gets some of his best material yet (an in all his glory comment seems appropriate). The artwork is, as usual, fantastic with Ethan Van Sciver covering that. Green Lanterns #6. A great issue as Jess finally makes a construct and the Hell Tower is brought down. The Rage Seed is an interesting development, as is the new Guardian with the Phantom Ring. {Spoiler} A new Rage Entity is being born in the Earth. This could lead to a Rebirth for the other Entities, a great way to bring those Corps back into the picture.

So, based on the preludes to "Supremecy of the Cybermen" what's the fate of the various Doctors? First is probably dead. Second is Cyberconverted. Third is free. Four is in trouble, probably dead or converted. Five is safe, assuming the TARDIS could escape Skaro. Six is safe assuming he could get out of the Mateix again. Seven is in trouble, unless Cyber-Ace is still more Ace than Cyber. Eight is probably Cyberconverted. War is dead.

Shadowpact - The Burning Age TPB (DC) i used to like that comic i read new superman 3- thats the chinese one not the one that was from another dimension - its a surprisingly fun book detective 940 the conclusion of rise of the batmen - i dont want to say too much about this issue but i liked it while i find this mr oz decay teaser intriguing i know it going to lead to another mega event eddy barrows had some really effective panels. also i have no idea if the things i know about the batfamily are still in continuity. the uncanny avengers 14 civil war tie in = this is the end of the unity team but this the third volume of this series, this series started after AvX and its on its 3rd series. i liked it but holy smokes was there a lot of talking for a book whose cover promised a cap vs cable battle. my buddy has a theory the reason that comics are filled with so much talking instead of action these days is the creators have never been in a fight in their lives. nightwing rebirth 4 nightwing is my favorite dc character something about tim seeley's writing just doesn't work for me its not a bad book

The second volume of Saga of the Swamp Thing, which features an issue called Down Amongst the Dead Men. The more I read these the more I think that early to mid-nineties Doctor Who owes a lot to the writings of Alan Moore.

Silver Surfer #1 - damn renumbering - is stunning. It's just out. It gets really meta - there's a race who come to Earth and steal peoples memories of what "art" is, for their own understanding. It's got quite a few Who references (the Surfer books have for quite a while now) and he's got a young, female companion with him too . It's a much better fit for Dan Slott on writing duties than his awful Spidey run. Captain Marvel #1 is also highly recommended. It's a very introspective piece and is perfect for someone new to Ms Danvers adventures. It's got an "OMG" ending. silver surfer is getting another number 1 in november i think
