I mean, you may have stumbled upon my reasoning for being really specific about my usage of the word canon.
People say ‘canon’ when they actually mean ‘continuity’. The idea of a personal canon is logically impossible. But people tend to use the word ‘canon’ at least in part because it conveys a faux official quality to their subjective taste.

I don't think people always say canon when they actually mean continuity. Although the two are often used to mean the same thing. However, continuity is a timeline of events. Canon refers to things that happened within the universe of the specific fictional art form.

I mean, I'd still like to know at least something about the War Master trilogy before I pre-order the bundle, but yeah, it's now a firm "probably"...

Very good covers. BBC better at marketing than BF. But I will wait until reviews come in first.

You can have a personal continuity but not a personal canon as I’d say canon requires consensus or official status of some sort.

Throwing in the Doctor does seem odd in a range deliberately focusing on Time Lords other than him. It’s hits the same problem as multiple Masters taking the leads; what is this range’s USP compared to rest of Big Finish’s output?
I will admit though that Tim Foley writing intrigues and a gothic thriller take on Morbius as a concept has promise. I do kinda want details on War Master trilogy before risking the two-trilogy bundle (Once and Future has left me reticent about leaps of faith on bundles).

But as discussed here "doctor who after twice upon a time is canon" is a fact as this has official status. It happened in the show.

Yes it doesn't really feel like it's going to be that different to what we already have if Doctor's are going to be added to the stories. Waiting for River to show up next. Maybe Jackie Tyler.

Vienna Salvatori perhaps? Leela and Benny?

My argument isn’t that there ‘is no canon’, more that it can’t be down to the individual or personal taste.

So, this is one story, written by one writer, told over three hours/discs. So, this is perfect for Big Finish’s favourite three disc box set format that they have been shoehorning other ranges into for the past few years. So, what do they do…
The Sontarans vs Rutons series was clearly a box set that Big Finish realised they could split into separate releases to get more money out of their CD collecting (potential) customers.
And now we have Dark Gallifrey: Mordius where you cannot even buy a trilogy bundle.
I want to support Big Finish more, but they keep causing me to pause.
However regarding this story, the summaries, what Tim Foley has commented, the artwork and Sam West’s obvious love for the project makes me very interested. Plus, the Fourth Doctor’s inclusion is equal parts surprising and intriguing.
I just wish it was a box set.

Don't think I have interest in any others of these.

Oh and (to specifically address the Timeless Child) that’s definitely canon as it’s got that official status, due to being in the show. That's why 'I deny this reality'. Not the fact that its canon.
