He could still be in the TARDIS to this day, trying to keep the TARDIS clean, maintaining the cloisters tidying up the wardrobe. Perhaps he's the one restocking the kitchen, considering the Doctor couldn't make a grocery run without encountering evil Broccoli poisoning the population or something like that. We need a line in future stories, where the companion mentions hearing a voice talking about item 5,372,936 on it's To-Do list and the Doctor says, "So that's where Hargreaves got to" and says no more on the topic. Maybe Charley had a cup of tea with Hargreaves, they'd get on well. Tomatoes! They were poisoned tomatoes! Jeez, the poor broccoli gets blamed every time. How about Kale? It could be invasion by food fad. I'd so buy a plush Hargreaves just to hug it.

My only real issue for the story is that at points the music makes me think my phone is going off, and I have to both check it and pause the story to make sure it isn't!

Nyssa just doesn't have that great of a track record when it comes to dangerous plants.

Well, that was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I loved everything about it - the performances, the sound design, the music, the setting and above all: the story. Everyone was really well written for. It hit the ground running and didn't stop until the end. Matthew Cottle as Hargreaves was so appealing, I wanted him to hop aboard the Tardis at the end. Excellent.

Fantastic Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan adventure, pour yourselfs a brandy as Delboy says. Thank you! (And hello to the Divergent Universe, by the way) Haven't heard it yet myself, but all the comments are very flattering. Three times? That's beyond the call of duty. Alan Barnes takes a lot of the credit for bashing it into shape, and I'm sure that the cast and Andy Hardwick have made our words and descriptions sound a lot better than they were on paper!

Wow.
Ok, then. Now that I've listened through it once: that was an outstanding episode.
Multiple intersecting plots, clever plays on the "timey-wimey" aspects, a genuine sense of suspense, etc etc and etc. Going to have to give it another listen juuuuuuust as soon as I'm done with the second John Hurt release.

Yes, everyone did us proud. Should also mention Ken Bentley - I was there for the second recording day (very kind of them to let me in, as I'd come straight from the Glastonbury festival and looked a bit of a state), and was impressed by his attention to detail. On listening to the finished story I was also impressed with how we'd managed to get most of the episodes close to 25 mins, which keeps it pacey (only episode 3 goes much over) - and then I remembered that that is entirely thanks to Alan's editing on the third draft. Very sympathetic editing, too - I don't think he cut a single line that I miss.

I really liked this one... as I did last month's, so 2-for-2, with the Doc/Tegan/Nyssa team here.
I liked how Tin Dog mentioned Red Dwarf and Kryten. Now, while I was a Dr. Who fan years before Red Dwarf existed, I came to be as much of a fan of both series. So I like Kryten and totally thought of him here, just like our metallic canine podcaster. I agree with everyone in that Hargreaves stole the show on this one.
One of the reasons I liked this one, was the timey-wimey aspect. Well, err, it may not have as exact, but probably my favorite TV episode of the Davision era was Mawdryn Undead, where I especially liked the symmetry of the story, two different time zones all tied together around the Brig, but you don't find out that until the very last moments. This sort of thing was not often done in the original series. Here, well maybe not quite the same degree of connect-the-dots, but not bad either.
Was I the only one who wondered what would have happened if some version of Hargreaves had stayed around... and then later had to interact with Kamelian? lol

Nice to see all the love for Hargreaves. But does no-one care about poor Butterworth, the service droid? He went down with the ship, and none of the other characters seemed to give him a second thought.

Listened to it today.
Strong stuff for the Doc and Tegan and reasonably paced.
