Now we've officially exceeded the events of the original TV series, and the events of Series 7 have certainly been a game changer - What do you think will happen to the series in the future?
Personally, I think Series 9 will be Big Finish's last Survivors box set. We haven't yet had anymore pre-orders being made available, and now that the series will take place after the natural end point of the TV series, I think that spells the natural end point for the audio series shortly.
I would also like to see the return of Richard Heffer to the series regulars. We haven't heard from Jimmy Garland since Series 3, and Richard Heffer definitely left a strong impression with his performance in that series.
I really hope Survivors doesn't end with Season 9 but goes on and on and on. I would love to see Jimmy Garland back, plus I still haven't given up hope that Greg will have survived smallpox (that would have happened in Ian McCullough's proposed season 4). Might be interesting for a recast Arthur Wormley to turn up.
If it is at all possible I would dearly love for BF to acquire the rights to non-Nation characters especially Charles Vaughn. Hubert could be recast (John Abineri's son Dan has taken on the role of Herne the Hunter in the most recent Robin of Sherwood audio, hint hint) as could Pet.
