All I can say is.... Thank you Big Finish Even though I have to pay for it I believe that this is my best Christmas present! Very, very happy. Didn't you come up with this idea a while back? I remember saying it was a excellent idea? This is awesome & a fitting send off for such a iconic character. My wishful thinking was for a final boxset and although this isn’t that I had convinced myself that getting any form of closure for Jago & Litefoot was unlikely to happen, so for us to be getting one final adventure to provide closure to the series is a wonderful treat.

I always figured we would get something. Jago & Litefoot was too much of a fan favorite, not to mention a favorite of David Richardson, that some kind of closure was bound to happen. A day later and I'm still thrilled with this news.

A day later and I'm still thrilled with this news. Same here. And I will eventually forgive those tweets about 'farewells' and 'needing tissues' for misleading me into thinking that {MR Spoiler}either Constance or Flip might not survive 'Static'. I was a nervous wreck! However, since all was well there in the end and now I know what the 'farewell' is (a wonderful and rather moving surprise!), that's two pre-Christmas presents I've had from BF in a way. (And the third arrived today with the latest from Counter-Measures, out in time to be saved for some holiday listening.)

Very pleased to hear there will be a final chapter for Jago & Litefoot. This seems a most appropriate send off. I'm also very pleased that the Revival is included on CD. Just about perfect as far as I'm concerned - thank you BF!

Looking at my shelves, and let me see if I got this right, 52 adventures under the Jago & Litefoot banner. The Companion Chronicles which reintroduced them. J & L & Strax. Two adventures with the 4th Doctor in his series. The two standalone releases with the 6th Doctor plus an episode in the 6 Doctor's The Last Adventure box set and one adventures in The Worlds of Doctor Who plus the two-part Short Trips. Not to mention their interview release with Nick Briggs. And finally Jago & Litefoot Forever. Am I missing anything released by Big Finish? So that is what, 63 releases of, mostly Victorian Investigating? What a legacy these characters leave behind. Bravo Trevor & Chris. Bravo Lisa. Bravo Conrad. Bravo David Richardson. Bravo all the writers, especially Justin Richards. And bravo Robert Holmes.

I'm pretty certain that's it - unless there is anything they have not announced yet (or have announced but haven't mentioned the Jago & Litefoot involvement) - I have hopes but it's probably just wishful thinking

only 63 releases?
Hah, more like, sixty three wonderful releases. Now, we all wish there could have been more (if only they had started sooner, eh??)...still, we will get one more. Instant Pre-order on my part.

I was thinking that Jago & Litefoot had more adventures than any of the Nu series Doctors. Someone on Facebook pointed out that they had more episodes than Blake's 7 and I pointed out that they had more episodes than your average TV series. Just a remarkable run and one that maintained its quality all the way through. As I've mentioned before, fans are inherently greedy. We always want more of what we love, and I would have loved to have heard Ian's plans for the boys realized and I wish that Trevor were still with us. Still, what we do have is a wonderful series. A miracle that it is exists at all. And I am thankful for that.

I pointed out that they had more episodes than your average TV series. Just a remarkable run and one that maintained its quality all the way through. Obviously that has a lot to do with the two amazing characters and actors, and how they played off each other. But I also wonder how much is to do with 2 x 4-episode arcs each year, forcing them to be tightly-plotted. (UNIT: The New Series is much the same, though I do realise that it is much more "one-story-each.") Personally I find that the 8-episode, one-story shows (started/popularized in recent years by Broadchurch?) can drag the story out too far. (Not that they aren't very good individually, but I find myself strained, unsure whether I want to do it again next time.) Meanwhile, monster-of-the-week shows can't really hold an arc for more than 12-13 episodes. I don't understand how American shows expect to drag an arc out over 22+. (I suppose that's more about everyone not having to find two shows to be on each year.)

Before this announcement I was thinking about starting a thread in the Jago & Litefoot section simply because I was finding it so bitterly sad that there hadn’t been any activity in that section of our forum since September.
It is so nice to have new posts to read, especially those in celebration of this wonder series.
We need to keep the memory of Jago & Litefoot and the people that bought it to life alive.

We could easily do listen through of the Jago and Litefoot releases. I would be more than happy to run that.

We could easily do listen through of the Jago and Litefoot releases. I would be more than happy to run that. Sounds like a great idea. Doing one story a week would cover all of 2018 and a far old chunk of 2019 - it might not be Jago & Litefoot Forever, but it is a mighty long time! When I think of it like that I realise just how much we have☺️
