A spin on the Trial of a Time Lord story.
The Master has been finally captured and placed on trial for his many, many crimes. It is very much a show trial for the benefit of a grateful universe and his summary execution is assured.
Trouble is, when it comes to his supposed most recent charge (the murder of a high ranking official) he is completely innocent. Someone has framed him and the Doctor (reluctant as he is) must act as his defendant to prove his innocence.
Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if this has been done before.

How has this not been done?! Out of curiosity which Doctor/ Master combination do you picture for this?

If only because I could see them being quietly amused by the whole affair. Just have this image of him reading a book in his cell whilst politely greeting the Doctor. “(Dryly) Fancy seeing you here Doctor.” Although Beevers could work just as well. As for the Doctor? Maybe the Fifth? Or the Sixth if you really want to draw parallels between him and his trials. Although Seventh might work as well because I could see him solely tempted to have the Master pay for his crimes. “Certainly would make the universe a lot less complicated.”

Like, I can't think of an example of it happening but it seems so natural that I can't believe that it hasn't happened between 1971 and now! (Also Six/Mel/Ainley would be my choice!)

The idea must have been done in something even if it’s just in a Short Trip or something. Good choice. The always verbose Sixth would suit being on the other side of the bench in such a tale. Calling the Judge ‘M’Lud’ and all that. And Ainley simply because of his chuckle.

A mostly earthbound series arch where the Doctor has had to land the TARDIS in either the basement or attic of an old abandoned house and then the TARDIS breaks down. The Doctor then gets used to living in the house and has basically made themselves at home there while trying to fix the TARDIS. They still keep the impression of it being abandoned though so they don’t attract suspicion or enemies. Mean while people in the area have caught glimpses of a mysterious figure wandering around the abandoned house and rumors start of the house being haunted. Then a new unsuspecting family move into the house not put off by the supposed ghost that lives there. Until one of the relatives catches a glimpse of the Doctor late at night wondering around. After an initial freak out and misunderstanding the family accepts the Doctor. The Doctor takes on the family as companions and sort of becomes part of the family themselves as a strange uncle/aunt figure. Of course the Doctor’s enemies find them at the house eventually, including the Master who has moved in as the next door neighbor!

I think it is the collection "Doorway to Hell". Pretty much the story line you write down here, including 12 cooking for the family.
Also, since he is on the cover (so no spoiler), the Master as the villain.

The Doctor turns evil (temporarily) and the Master has to be the one to save the day.
This would be for BF or expanded universe but an entire story of 3 and Jo going clothes shopping together, there doesn’t even need to be much of an alien threat.
The Doctor getting caught by a companion doing something mortifyingly embarrassing while they think they are alone in the TARDIS and it’s awkward the entire rest of the story with them both trying not to bring up what the companion saw them do but almost bringing it up several times. Not sure what the embarrassing thing would be that the Doctor gets caught doing, I suppose it depends on the incarnation. My mind keeps going back to the Doctor singing and dancing around the console room in either just their their question mark underwear or pajamas (perhaps the footy kind)😄

Of course Benny does not give it a rest and will also do not take any BS.
As for the Doctor turning evil.... still hoping Time Lord Victorious might go that way....

well as evil as the HURT Doctor? I mean he turned out to be a right EVIL B...oh NO wait...he didn’t and if he did then it wouldn’t make sense as then the others would have rejected Tennants Doctor...mind you why not the Meta Crisis Doctor?

Start at the beginning-the first Unbound Box Set -love them all Nah, start with New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield Volume 3. That is the start of Benny and the Warner Doctor. I am not a big fan of Volume 1 and 2.
Just not my cup of tea and nearly put me off Sylvester.
But starting from Volume 3 till the latest one, among my favorite BF stuff of late.
More mature, very clever, no "Dalek go boom!" but thoughtful, thought provoking stories, with great characters and a wonderful interplay between Benny and the Doctor. They act like an old married couple and there is even a story, Dead and Breakfast, where they pretend to be an old married couple. Simply wonderful.
