Well looks like Disney destroyed any good will for Star Wars fans Unless some other news dropped that I missed, I assume you're referring to Carano. In which case, the show is bigger than her and will go on fine without her.
(If we need a reminder of how much power the hardcores really have - the Prequels still made gobs of money, despite being the Prequels).
Honestly, I was done with her character anyway before the "firing". There's only so much a badass mercenary can add when you're not the kind of show for too much character exploration (which isn't a criticism - it's inherent in the influences from Leone to Lone Wolf). I feel the same way about Carl Weathers' and Bil Burr's characters. The Galaxy seems awfully small when Mando would have the same guest list for 3 seasons straight. Add Amy Sedaris even. It's why I believe Lucasfilm/Disney saying she wasn't fired, they just didn't have plans to bring her back and none in the future. I wouldn't be surprised if that applied to the others I named too but their actions haven't called for a statement on the matter. The show seems perfectly set for a paradigm shift given the ending of Season 2. Besides, in my hierarchy of badass women on the show, Carano was and is secondary to the great Ming Na Wen and she's staying for the Boba Fett show so...all good. And we've got Starbuck herself out there fighting to restore Mandalore as BoKatan. We won't hurt for strong female characters with more ability and better stories.

Well looks like Disney destroyed any good will for Star Wars fans ...by firing someone who publicly trafficked in transphobia, racism, anti-masker lunacy, lies about the American election, and, finally, anti-Semitism? Okay, sure If SW loses the "fans" who are fine with even one of those things, good riddance.

You rile people up, then wonder why they threaten you..

I’m not at all convinced that the decision is even recent. She was notably absent from a lot of the Mando S2 promotion, when her conduct had become more widely known. And then, at least for me, the big tell was when on the investor day they announced Rangers of the New Republic—a show seemingly tailor-made for her character—it was conspicuously the only one of the Mando-timeline shows that didn’t include any casting announcement. I’m more than a little bit convinced that her contract was season-by-season (so, fulfilled) and someone at Lucasfilm/Disney made the decision sometime prior to early December to just not call her back for additional work. The Shapiro thing really solidified my thinking here. You don’t go from being ‘fired’ to having a completed and signed contract with someone else like two days later, that’s just not how fast contract negotiations happen. It may not have been public, but this happened months ago.

Update on the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. When it comes to Star Wars I'm more interested in shows with new characters.

So that will trigger all the manbabies. lol considering how many star wars movies have been cancelled in the past several years what makes you think it’s going to not be stuck in development hell especially with the writers strike at the moment Still I guess those two or three Rey palpatine fans should be happy that their Mary sue is getting another film

Surely it gets tiring constantly posting about things you hate instead of things you like?

So it’s ok to use insults now on this site then…..that’s just sexism in reverse …. That’s what I mean, I thought this was a friendly place…..what happened to all views are valid……

What happened to all views are valid…… Since there seems to be some confusion here, allow me to state an unequivocally and emphatically as possible: no, not all views are valid. EDIT: and, of course, you know this, everyone knows this, and your motivations for saying otherwise are extremely transparent.

Seems like a great way to minimize the actual sexism at play here. And for someone spouting “all views are valid", you seem to take a lot of umbrage with other people sharing their views you don’t agree with.
