8DA-DARK EYES 3-RULE OF THE EMINENCE-MATT FITTONIt is kind of nice in a way Liv using her skills to tend for Molly.Alex is just pure pantomime villain really and expertly voiced. We lose Molly in a way and the chemistry between her an MCGann but we have the added team of MCGann and Nicola. I remember this being the weakest episode of the set but given the very very fast pacing of Dark Eyes 4 and the Ravenous sets there is a slightly slower pace to these that make them so enjoyable. Given this is a set basically that Matt Fitton did on his own I think he did a fantastic job,it can’t be easy to have a whole set fall on your own shoulders. David Sibley is so good as the Eminence . i would really enjoy a retrospectiveinterview to the set of stories , it would be nice as I have said before to get them all together writers directors producers actors and do a basic on the couch/sofa type interviews to see what they would have done differently. Just Imagine-retrospectives on Nekro and EXILe lol and lets be honest you don’t get better than {Spoiler} 'You do rule the cosmos but only when you're all that's left.'

Well now that the CDS have arrived I had no choice but to play
CD/NM-2.1-Night of the Vashta Nerada-John Dorney (Tom Baker)
This is just such a great tale, great bunch of characters, interesting scenario, wonderful setting and a monster that works so well on audio. Still a great vehicle for Toms’ Doctor and one i would recommend to people looking for a classic Fourth Doctor tale. No longer a sympathetic monster (The Library)...its always great to add something even a little to the monster, keeps them interesting. and it’s good to play stuff to rid my ears of echoes of EXILE 😎😜

Did both CDNM sets this week. Love this story. These were both really strong sets. I'm glad that they might be doing another.

The First Doctor Adventures-1.2-The Great White Hurricane-Guy Adams
i have long put aside any reservations about the team changes and easily slip into the new characterisations.I guess as long as the storylines are strong I can enjoy. this is very much a human story against adversity and brings the TARDIS TEAM together.
and also its a story that makes me appreciate the century that I live in.

For me, Survivors 9 (spoilers for those who haven't heard it).
{Spoiler} Ending with Conflict (how else?), this superb series reaches its conclusion. Before this, we have the magnificent Jane Slavin opener The Farm. Jane has once again managed to infuse the grim bleakness of the premise with a line of dark humour, which is hugely successful. I hope she writes scripts for other series. The other three stories more or less continue from where Series 8 left things: the very interesting dilemma faced by former bezzie mates Abbey and Jenny. Whilst the former’s preoccupation with finding her son has worn her down, Jenny has become a leader, braver and more headstrong. Both flawed, they have a fascinating dynamic. And like it or not, that is what drives this last box set. As others have commented, with the uprising of these two strong female leads, and the amount of verbal ‘men-bashing’ that does on, things could become more than a little one-sided. I don’t mind this too much, because the characters are so good, and it could be said their collective growth has been happening since episode one of the television show. Neither do I mind the murky open-ended decision to have Abbey go off with her murdering, conditioned son – because in something like Survivors, there should (and could) never be a neatly tied-up ending. There is an ongoing story, injustice and further bleakness (offset by very real moments of hope) – it’s just that we won’t be able to listen to it. This makes me sad, because Survivors has consistently been excellent, right down to the last minute.

God, I LOVE Ravenous 4. It is near perfect. And the team ups of the different main characters with the different Masters were a stroke of genius. I really find it hard to tell which of them is my favorite. However, Liv has now been cemented as one of the most bada$$ characters in the franchise, at least for me. Only the Ravenous... well, they are pretty much overshadowed by all the awesomeness and come across as slightly wasted potential. Still, this is one of the best releases of this year. Period.

Just finished Ravenous 4 by Fitton & Dorney, my favorite two BF writers for multiple reasons. But I have to credit the editing as well, especially for episodes three and four, for reasons that become clear if you listen to the behind-the-scenes tracks.
Now relistening to Space 1999: Breakaway.

A re-listen to Gallifrey Time War 1, my third listen and still every bit as much a very impressive production, and very much in the spirit of the range. Now let's see how far I get with the second volume.

This series isn’t comfortable listening but then again it shouldn’t be, ‘But BF can hold this up as a consistently great range and it is a range that needs a break between sets . I was sad to see it end.

Yes you say it well. Despite all the Special releases of the year and Legacy, for me this was the most anticipated release and a definite relistenable treat.

Re- Listen to Cold Fusion. All that stuff about looms (not my cup of tea) aside, great story. I especially love how the 5th Doctor and his crew blunder into the 7th operations, how the different companions interact with each other and how well the differences between the scheming of 7 and the slightly naive cluelessness of 5 are presented. This is pretty fun.
