Conversion.....I really do like this ruthless & desperate 5th Doctor. It makes for a nice change of pace from the most amiable of Doctors. This is why I really LOVED this, too!

Finished my War Doctor re-listen. And what can I say? Overall, I liked it better the second time around.

The past day or so: Time Works - Another underrated piece in the 50 - 100 era. It plays with time in a really interesting way.
On the docket: Continuing my MR relisten with The Kingmaker, The Settling, Something Inside, and maybe even The Nowhere Place depending on time.

Really rather fab. I loved The Destiny of the Doctor stories. Probably my favourite BF DW range.

Shadow of the Sun (Robert Valentine)
A bleak yet very engrossing piece. Have to give props to Big Finish as well. Despite this being recorded online, I honestly couldn’t tell the difference. Great stuff.

Gave the first episode of The Human Frontier a go, as it’s available free at the moment.
It’s alright. The chronology is tricky, and I can only imagine gets trickier if this style continues in the rest of the series. The characters are well-defined by the end though, so as an opener this clearly achieves it’s purpose.
This hasn’t quite motivated me to buy the full set unfortunately.

Listened to the first half dozen or so chapters of Writing on the Water today. Good on Big Finish for supporting one of their own in making an audiobook out of it, and even moreso for asking Jane Slavin to do the reading of her own book, but I think this one is just Not For Me.

Halfway through Cold Fusion. The novels adaptations range has been so consistently awesome that I'm really sad it had to end due to lackluster sales.

I am not sold on some of the other novel adaptations, but it did certainly go out with a bang.

The only adaptation I was not that fond of was The Highest Science, but I really loved Love and War, Damaged Goods and All-Consuming Fire. What better way to end the range than with an amazing multi Doctors story ? It's really different from all the other multi Doctors and I love it.

I already had not been a fan of the novel of Love and War, so also was not enthused about the adaptation. And I had expected more of an epic meeting of the Doctor and Holmes...
as I said, I am just not too sold on these.
But Cold Fusion is great!

Mists of Time from the Companion Chronicles Specials. I just love Katy doing these. She really brings all the characters to life.
Now onto Freakshow and Turlough.
