The Ratings War (Steve Lyons)
Very enjoyable piece. Although, your enjoyment of this will depend on if you’re a fan of the sillier side of Who.
Dreamtime (Simon A. Forward)
Not as incomprehensible as some reviews might suggest but it’s certainly an odd one. Bit like a fever dream if truth be told. Except with the sound of Kookburas and Didgeridoos.

Jago & Litefoot Vol 1
1.3 The Spirit Trap
Spooky sci-fi twist on the Victorian middle-class obsession with table-tapping and all things 'spiritualist'. Another magnificent manifestation for J&L&Eliie - adding the redoubtable Miss Higson to the regular team was so inspired an idea, I strongly suspect spirit guidance...
1.4 The Similarity Engine
Darkly 'real' medical mystery to start with where our knowledge of the future puts us one step ahead of the Prof. And then it all turns horribly, and entertainingly, familiar - in more ways than one!
Superb first volume, darker in tone than most of the later stories would be (after Vol 2 at least.) In their world Jago and Litefoot are starting to recognise their role as Infernal Investigators and deepening their friendship - but in our world it all clicked from the first scene. 'Jago & Litefoot' the BF range was off to a flyer and never faltered!

MR: 1963 The Assassination Games.
I love a bit of Counter Measures, superbly mixed here with a scheming 7th Doctor, Ace in deep-cover and an illuminati with sinister plans at the very heart of Westminster. A top-notch MR release.

I'm easily led, and grinch's mention of Dreamtime made me pop it on this afternoon.

A very atmospheric two hander.

MR: The Whispering Forest - which I got half way through but was too distracted. I'll go back to it.
MR: The Dark Flame - I honestly don't know why I do it to myself, but maybe this time I'll enjoy it.

Blake's 7 Avalon 1. Two stories in and really enjoying it. This new kid Gary Russell is pretty good. ;-)

Update...yes, The Dark Flame was as infuriating as ever. As shallow as a street puddle, repeat references that I don't need to hear about the planet's harsh environment and of course..The Dark Flame (x 150). All accompanied by good sound design etc. Drives me potty, and got switched off this time before the end of part 1.
So, I've got the day off today so decided to try and finish MR: The Marian Conspiracy. I get bored by historicals but this is great fun. Super witty dialogue and a plot that skips along like a flea-ridden jock strap. I love the knitting conversation near the beginning and of course it kicks-off old Sixies travels with the lovable Evelyn. 8 out of 10.

The Unwilling Assassin from The Lone Centurion and another relisten from the Monthly Range with Dust Breeding, which I've heard a few times now but not in awhile. I think I like the story better with each listen (I recall being slightly peeved at how badly I got distracted on the first several listens), but an impressive cast too.

The Haunting of Malkin Place (Phil Mulryne)
A real standout instalment from the Fourth Doctor Adventures.
Although, I’m still waiting for that M.R. James historical adventure Big Finish.

Thunderbirds: Terror from the Stars
Listening to it now and my favourite line so far has to be from Scott Tracy: "I've got a deep-rooted objection to being knocked out by things I don't understand, Brains."

Finished "The Maltese Penguin"; found it rather disappointing after "The Holy Terror".
