The Curse of Shurafa (Rob Morris)
A solid story effectively told. Although at times it does come across more as a Doctor Who story than it does Dark Shadows.

In the Twinkling of an Eye (Penelope Faith)
I think it’s release like this which show that Dark Shadows’s’ strength as a series lies in its character driven stories rather than simple supernatural shenanigans. Although, those are just as fun as well.

Series 6 of Survivors today. After a bit of a break, came back and did series 7 yesterday and today. Series 8 of Survivors today, plus the first episode of series 9.

Yesterday evening I had time to listen to Blood of the Daleks, Horror of Glam Rock, Immortal Beloved, AND Phobos. Overall a strong string of stories, with Phobos maybe being not so strong as the rest.

Deliver Us From Evil (Aaron Lamont)
Hmm. For some reason, I couldn’t get into this. I don’t know why to be honest. Personally I reckon it’s entirely my own fault. I tend to leave large gaps between listening to Dark Shadow releases so even though I naturally did listen to the story which introduced these characters by the time I got to this entry I’d completely forgot all about them!
Tainted Love (Daniel Collard)
Very much a step up. Although I could admittedly see a few of the themes and storytelling decisions in this rubbing some people up the wrong way.

After a bit of a break, came back and did series 7 yesterday and today. Series 8 of Survivors today, plus the first episode of series 9. The rest of Survivors series 9 yesterday, and all but about an hour and a half of Survivors: Ghosts and Demons today. Will probably knock that out either tonight or tomorrow morning.

The Robots Volume 5. Since this is one of my favorite ranges, and instant listen today. And it was good. Pure gold. Big Finish still can produce great stories, even if too many of late just sound too samey to me. But this range really has yet to disappoint me! Just sad the wait for the next one is so long! Since it ends on a cliffhanger.... (which was pretty much signposted in side sentences several times in the story, so it did not come as a surprise.... it just left me guessing HOW they would get to this cliffhanger! Clever)

And Red All Over (Cody Schell)
Hmm. A very understated final story for the Dark Shadows range.

After putting it off for so long, I'm finally diving into the first 5th Doctor boxset today. Currently at the halfway point in Iterations of I, a story that has been much-hyped up.
I'm sure I'll have many thoughts to share once I've finished it, but for now I'll simply say that I really was not expecting for the title to be so literal.

Will probably knock that out either tonight or tomorrow morning. Finished it off and listened to Gallifrey's "Weapon of Choice" today.

The Heart’s Desire (David Bailey/Neil Corry)
This was fine for what was essentially just an extended chase scene.

Finished up the Eighth Doctor Adventures Series 1 with No More Lies and Human Resources. Now I'm working my way through The Further Adventures. Already finished The Dalek Trap, now I'm a third of the way through The Revolution Game.

Timeless Passages (Daniel O’ Mahoney)
Extremely well done. Probably among the best stories the original Bernice Summerfield range had to offer.

Will probably knock that out either tonight or tomorrow morning. Survivors: New Dawn 1 today, just finished a couple mins ago. Might try to start volume 2 today as well, but I'm not sure if I'll have time.

Daisy Chain (Joseph Lidster)
Definitely one of Big Finish’s finest stories from out of any range. And very much a product of a much different time for Big Finish. Would certainly never be commissioned these days.
