Going back over Geronimo, and Safiyya Ingar is just fantastic. Gotta give particular props to her performance in the scene where she's on the phone with her mother in the first story. That was just. Wow.

Today I (finally?) got round to listening to the first series of 'Lady Christina' and, whilst I'm not going to call it a "favourite" spin-off? It... Actually wasn't actually half-bad! I had no desire to listen to this one when it was first released. When I finally did, I found it one of the most fun things BF have ever produced. I love it, and listen to it fairly regularly. It's a blast! I'm the same. I kinda scoffed at the idea when it was first announced, but am glad to have finally got round to listening to it. As I was off from work today I listened to series 2, which I enjoyed fine-enough, buuuuuut just not quite as much as the first.

It was good, but not as great as the first one.

The Third Doctor Adventures Volume 08 - The Devil's Hoofprints by Robert Valentine.
Really enjoyed re-listening to this Daemons-esque story. Some lovely of-the-era sound design, and some nice, large performances (Derek Griffiths and Robert Daws, the latter dishing out a wonderfully Terry-Thomas flavoured performance). I remember enjoying how much the cast seemed to be having a good time when I first listened to this, and this revisit hasn't diminished that. Carolyn Seymour, Sadie Miller and Tim Treloar are also on great form. A most dangerous game, indeed!

Dark Shadows; Darkest Shadows - Whilst I did enjoy this story (of course I did), when I heard "Dorian Grey in a 'Dark Shadows' story" I was expecting more than 'just' a 2minute cameo...

Started on Phantom of the Opera since it came very much recommended here. So far, this is not bad, but since I know the story, I just miss the spark that excites me. Or maybe I am just too stressed at the moment to feel any sparks. Will see how I go further in.

After borrowing the set from a friend, today I've listened to 1DA; The Outlaws. Whilst I'm not yet 'sold' on Stephen Noonan's take on the Doctor, I found this to be a fun "little" story {Spoiler} and, as I hadn't read the description, The Monk was certainly a nice surprise!

God damn. Sometimes I need a reminder why I love this big dumb franchise so much. Stories like this is why.

Gonna listen to The Black Hole tonight. The only EDA I have left in my (very small) pile to listen to. And then, if I've time, I'd like to dive into The World Tree, too.
