Last week I re-listened to The Adventures of Luther Arkwright. Today I listened to The Picture of Dorian Gray. And there went my afternoon on both occasions, as I couldn't stop listening till the stories were done.

Took a chance on "Beyond the Ultimate Adventure". Paid 4 bucks for it and honestly, not positive it was worth it!

Started on a re-listen to the original Gallifrey series. I love this series so much!

Now is a good time, I think, to give The Marian Conspiracy a relisten. Started on a re-listen to the original Gallifrey series. I love this series so much! Need to press on with my relisten eventually, too. It stalled out a while back, but... yeah, I also love it to death! Easily one of the strongest ranges BF has.

Easily one of the strongest ranges BF has. The Marian Conspiracy is a good one! It really is! Yesterday was just an absolutely awful, grueling day for me -- and listening to an old favorite really was just what I needed at a time when I was literally living moment-to-moment, desperate for distraction. In retrospect it's really hard not to notice just how perfect Evelyn's banter with the Doctor is, right from the very first season. Once you're at the end of the first episode, it's glaringly obvious that she's gonna be one of the all-time best companions. It's so good, so quickly, it really makes me wonder why Big Finish has had so much (apparent) difficulty introducing their own, new companions elsewhere -- especially for the Colin Baker's Doctor, whose whole TARDIS team has kind of been floundering about (to my eyes) since Maggie Stables' passing.

Companion Chronicles - The Revenants.
William Russell being brilliant in Ian Potter's lovely creepy story. I miss this range.

Not Big Finish but very good. I've discovered a podcast called Sherlock and Co. I was hesitant to listen. I mean, do I really need another modern day version of Sherlock Holmes? But I'm glad I did. They knock it out of the park. I think I like it better than Moffat and Gatiss's Sherlock. There are s couple of episodes that I think are sub-par, but on the whole it's been terrific.

Is there a specific episode that you'd recommend over the others? I'm definitely interested, but don't really have a lot of time to be starting in on new podcasts.

I recommend starting from the beginning. They are only half hour episodes. But if you insist, I recommend listening to The Problem of Thor Bridge as an early one, The Retired Colourman and The Dancing Men.

Just been listening to Doctor Who and the Invasion from Space (which I believe I got from Big Finish despite it not being one of theirs)

In the last week I listened to the rest of the Gallifrey series through Gallifrey 8: Enemy Lines Yesterday I finished a listen to The Prisoner. Thought it was pretty faithful to the TV show. Today I started listening to the audiobook of Paul Darrow's autobiography You're Him, Aren't You?. He has an amusing narration style. Makes me sad he's not around anymore. And also makes me want to re-watch some Blake's 7.

This morning, I continued listening to Paul Darrow's autobiography. His description of all the episodes of Blake's 7 ("The Plain Man's Guide to Alien Invasion") read in his own inimitable voice and speaking style is very amusing.
