Just listened to the entirety of Torchwood Soho: Parasite, it was a lot better than I was expecting! Pleased I decided to take the plunge with the series.

Yet another relisten to Robophobia. Just so good! A great suspense-thriller, McCoy is on top "shadowy game-master" form, and it serves as a great introduction to the FANTASTIC Liv Chenka, played to perfection for the last 13(!) years by Nicola Walker.

Honestly, struggling a bit getting through the 3rd Doctor range.. Nothing too specific, it's timing. Every time I have tried to get a solid 30 mins uninterrupted I get.. fully interrupted..
So I have put a very temporary hold..
I listened to 8th Doctor Main/Monthly Range #72 "Terra Firma".
Currently, on this "Kings Birthday" Monday Public Holiday I am just over 1/2 way through 7th Doctor Main/Monthly Range #74 "Live 34"..
I am re-noticing the 1st 100ish stories had wider scope- more experimental..

The Eighth Doctor Adventures: Connections
Any story that begins with the words “A whopper. Of course it is,” is off to a cracking start, in my view. In Here Lies Drax, we veer close to a comedy – but thanks to Mr Dorney, things are never allowed to get out of hand. Shane Ritchie is very good in this, one of the least sporters of a ‘funny accent’, thankfully.
I enjoyed The Love Vampires. A curious and ‘quiet’ story, it’s a wistful piece and one I can see myself revisiting soon.
Best of the bunch (on first listening anyway) is Albie's Angels. You’d think that bringing back the famous statues would be enough for one tale (rather more successfully here than in the Fallen Angels story from Classic Doctors New Monsters 1), but there’s an additional point of interest here, certainly for Helen. I still think that TV is the ideal platform for the Angels, but this is a surprisingly sweet story – and of course, the regulars are brilliant throughout. A strong, wonderfully played TARDIS team.
