A two-hour adventure celebrating 50 years of Dark Shadows!
“Some are born with magic, some acquire magic, and others have magic thrust upon them...”
The year is 1767. Young widow Laura Murdoch Stockbridge is to marry Joshua Collins, heir to the Collins fortune. Meanwhile, Joshua’s sister Abigail is in love with disreputable sailor Abraham Harkaway.
But the course of true love never did run smooth… especially when the witch Angélique Bouchard is around.
For Angélique has been sent back in time. And she has one mission…
To destroy the Collins family forever.
Featuring cast from the original television series, Blood & Fire is a special audio drama to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Dark Shadows

It sounds fun. I am liking the historical era.
And I am glad I know one character. Yay Angelique. But I am looking forward to getting to know more.

I can't help but think Tracy is going to be everso excited seeing such familiar character names listed...
Happy 50th Anniversary, Tracy.

This is fantastic news! I can still barely believe I'm reading the words. I'd hoped Blood & Fire would feature Laura but couldn't for the life of me imagine the circumstances. This story is already full of surprises!
I think maybe Davy is right about writing it "Blood & Fire", at least to me it does seem like pulling together the two very exciting words with the ampersand helps them to be apprehended simultaneously so that they manage to seem even more exciting?
I love this part of the interview particularly:
Joe: ...If Bloodlust was a story about a mystery, Bloodline is a mystery about the story. How pretentious does that sound?...
Actually I think it sounds brilliant and it's a brilliant way to put it... makes it sound very much as if Bloodline is going to be even more mysterious than Bloodlust, which was quite the mystery. Really looking forward to Bloodline already!

I am looking forward to following a series with everyone where I am not the only one who doesn't know what is going on. Well except the writers that is!

Lara is great in those. (Cassandra Collins is an alias Angelique used when she first appeared in the 1960s but it's just her underneath). Like the Curse of Shurafa Barnabas and Julia adventure, they're a sort of side-step from Collinsport, like summer specials with a decent location budget - "He was a private dick, she was a witch from the past - together they were unstoppable." (Until they were stopped...)

I hope they invent a new character called Ada Collins. The next set can be called Bloody Ada. The more I hear about this, the more I am excited for it. That's pretty much a given with BF's Dark Shadows. I'm glad Angelique is back - I hope she is her reassuringly evil self once more! Not too long to wait now

Changed the title slightly at a request. Hope this works!
As for Tony & Cassandra I do plan to get to those eventually. I already have the Phantom Bride. Will pick up more when I can.

I think Alan's suggested Blood Pudding if there's another series, but I'm sure there's wiggle-room on that.

This is Laura Murdoch Stockbridge... and thereby hangs a tale... (which of course you're all pre-ordering avidly now aren't you?)

Not only that--to visit a time period that was never examined in the OS, only referred to offhandedly, is so very cool....and I love the Laura Murdock Stockbridge/Laura Stockbridge Collins explanation. That always seemed like a continuity gaff on the show, but it looks like now we're getting some history! Angelique vs. Laura: There weren't nearly enough of those scenes in the OS. Clash of the Titans!!!!

I wonder what Jeremiah and Barnabas are up to. I'm sure we'll hear from them in June. I love how Big Finish is taking a few of these pieces of family lore from across the original series range and tieing them together. Plus an Angelique-Laura Collins dynamic is one that I recall Joe saying in podcast ages ago he would love to do, so I know it will be handled quite wonderfully.
Plus this could all lead to Laura showing up to her son's wedding in Bloodline. I wonder who her plus one would be...

Might Bloodline debut in October? River's apperance in Doom Coalition 3 would introduce the more casual Big Finish customers to the series and it is the month of Halloween...and we might get a Halloween episode!

To be honest, I don't get how River popping up in the Doctor Who audios would make more people buy Bloodline?

I've not seen Laura Mk II yet so I can't swear to that but the Dark Shadows wiki seems to think it all tallied.
I suppose we don't really want to talk about Laura(s) in too much detail or we may tip new listeners off too much about how things in Blood & Fire will need to tie in with the TV show...
