That seems inevitable for a future 10DA volume. If they get her. Well, she came back for DOTD and still does conventions. I don't think it's entirely out of the question.

She's also young and aggressively pursuing a television career. I don't think she'd even consider this until and unless the television work dries up. Did she do any audiobooks or anything during her time on the show? Catherine did, which was a good indication she'd be willing to do audio work.

She did lend her voice to a behind the scenes audio documentary called Doctor Who At The BBC: www.amazon.co.uk/Doctor-Who-At-BBC-Tenth-Dr/dp/1405676930

The original planned releases of the readings of the 9th Doctor books were pulled and then rescheduled much later. I believe neither Chris nor Billie had been inclined to record them and, at that time, it was wanted that one of the regulars should read them.

The idea of standing in a sound booth for hours on end may just not appeal to them, it always occurred to me that straight audio book readings must be quite a strain on the actors voice and legs.

I think they tend to sit for book readings. Everyone's individual of course. But certainly any readings I've seen being recorded have been done sat down. I've seen actors stood up or sat down for audio plays but always sat for readings.

Strange. I wonder why they didn't want to do it? Maybe Eccelston likes being a face actor. That's a great pity if true, I reckon he'd be very good at it. You shut your eyes during his reading of "Dulce Et Decorum Est" and his voice just transports you away to those men stumbling in the mire of the trenches.

Probably just related to his reluctance to do B.F, he signed for 13 episodes and did them, as far as Eccleston is concerned he may simply feel he's already done everything with the part he wanted to do and wants to move onto other projects. Straight Audiobook readings probably don't pay that well either.

You would think it would be dull ruling out returns to everything because 'you shouldn't bathe in the same river twice'.
