The Suicide Squad - Hell of a lot of fun. Margot Robbie steals the show as always, but Idris Elba and Peter Capaldi are the other two highlights. Capaldi is billed far lower than he deserves, frankly, for what is a pretty substantial role. I’m amazed this managed to secure a 15 rating, I’ve seen tamer 18’s!

I didn’t realise there was another after the Weasel one. The lights came up straight away as soon as The Suicide Squad logo appeared and the staff called out to say there wasn’t anything!

To be fair, they’ve always been pretty good and the lights only come on once the actual footage has ended (special titles, post-credits, etc.), so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that they just genuinely didn’t know.

Dougal is trapped on a milk float with a bomb on board...and the other Priests trying to rescue him watch the Poisedon Adventure for help because one of them remembers Gene Hackman played a Priest.

Ah! Thanks for letting me know about the Father Ted reference. I've have to re-watch the episode. Tim.

Been a fan since the middish 80's - this cuts deep given the death of Dusty Hill last week :-( Sad news indeed - but despite it being their commercial peak, I hate their 80s output. Synths and drum machines? For a blues rock band? Worse was when they first reissues the 70s albums on CD and overdubbed synths onto the classics like Tres Hombres and Tejas. Thankfully that's been rectified now.

The BBFC adressed it and said because it was obviously cartoonish, OTT stylised violence it got through wheras the same thing in a film with a darker tone would be an 18. I liked it a lot. THIS is James Gunn, not Guardians Of The Galaxy. This is the guy who started at Troma and worked as Lloyd Kaufman's right hand man. In fact the film overall reminded me of Troma's War. I though Capaldi kinda played it a lot like his Doctor gone Full Fathom Five. Stallone was terrific as King Shark. Great comic readings. The part that had me in hysterics though was the "Milton?" dialogue, then the callback to it 10 mins later. SO glad to see the Snyder and Ayer stench out of the DC films. I wonder if DC will send Marvel a basket of fruit for being dumb enough to let them poach James Gunn for this?

The "$auron Osborne" trick. Nope. remastering is fine for technological purposes but don't add/take stuff away.

As a big Uriah Heep fan, what The Osbourne's did to Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake was disgusting. Stole their songwriting royalties for decades then when they were forced to give them back...overdubbed them with Ozzy's 2000s band. Yeah, there's a reason I stuck with my old CDs for Blizzard and Madman. At least ZZ Top saw sense in the end. The Osbournes are notorious backstabbers who keep a grudge for decades.

Samurai Rebellion - A new one by me, Toshiro Mifune flick. Took a little while to get going, but I really enjoyed where it ended up, and the conclusion it built to.
Stargate: Continuum - Rewatch. Still enjoyed.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Rewatch. Remains easily the best MCU film.
