1st BF Social Update of situation today says its all the hands of the developers Regards mark687 blaming them? wow! Currently their Right if BF have given them a Spec and a Timetable and they can't deliver even the functionally of the Old site (despite apparently at least 3 months Beta Testing), where there is fault on both sides is once the obvious lack of function is noticed, the Site should've pulled and the old one restored. Realistically they’re both at fault here. The developers for not being able to deliver and Big Finish for the testing and communication, or lack thereof. And let’s not kid ourselves that half the missing stuff was part of the original requirements. It’s clear what the spec was based on both the appearance and within the articles on the website.
An unmitigated disaster from all involved.

I never knew this website existed! wearebigfinish.com/When doing a google search the regular big finish website doesn't come up in the search results! Just the wearebigfinish one! Is that just me? If they've disappeared from Google its going to be a disaster for them. Looks like they didn't do SEO migration properly.

Looks like they didn't do SEO migration properly. first 3 results in google - BF twitter account BF Wiki wearebigfinish.com (at the bottom of that website is a link to bf.com) Interesting reading - Big Finish employ twenty-two full-time staff including a three-person Marketing and PR team, as well as a team of sixty-five independent writers, editors, producers, and directors. They are supported by a core distribution and archive team of eight. This & the link to bf.com is on the bottom of the page twice for some reason. further results on first page but no webpage result

I just did the update and it seems to have removed Once and Future entirely. Still shows up in my dashboard on the website though, albeit unavailable to download.
EDIT: Chimes of Midnight is also missing so I guess the app has now caught the same issue as website on unavailable downloads. Currently a 50 release discrepancy between my app and dashboard so I guess that’s the amount of releases affected.

Library > Purchased. It shows the number of available titles on the righthand side in blue, below the search icon. Edit: And actually I just noticed that the blue number of titles goes away and comes back again when I toggle between "downloaded", "purchased" and "playlist".

Has anyone made a purchase since the new site started and can confirm that new purchases are showing up in the app and dashboard? yes, I bought one boxset last night and it is now in my library on the website and in my app. I bought the rest of the 11th doctor sets to try out the multi buy discount and they are all on the library and app. these were items already released. i have yet to see if something new comes out that I already preordered shows up. (my orders don't seem to have anything after 2019 except the 2 new orders). we'll see what happens when Deathworld or something else in August come out.

I have tried innumerable times to make a purchase on the new site (partially as a test). It absolutely will not let me complete checkout no matter what browser I use or what I do. Sometimes, the screen just goes black when I click "Checkout". Most often, I get to the first checkout page and input my correct address (I do not live at "Address, London, UK"), but when I click "Continue" absolutely nothing happens. It does not even try to load another page. It acts as if I have just clicked a picture without a link behind it. I did E-mail BF about it, but just got the form response.

Regards mark687 If the site had three months of beta testing and still went live, BF should find a new set of upper management. I know some high school kids who could have done a better job than whatever company is behind this horribly rolled out site.

A sensible and welcome move. If the discount rates were to be different it would have made more sense the other way around to incentivise pre-ordering to get the larger saving than waiting till release. There’s now no saving in waiting, unless it is a patient wait for a sale a year or three down the line. My miserly strategy for the last few years of order things just before they go up in price - which was saving me over £100 a year over pre-ordering (or the equivalent of five box sets) - can be retired. Me (opening window and shouting down at a passer-by): “You, boy, what day is this?” Passer-by: “You what?” Me: “Today, what day is today, boy?” Passer-by: “It’s Thursday, and I’m a woman. In her forties. Whom you married.” Me: “Just say ‘It’s Big Finish buying day’” Wife: “We’ve been through this. It’s never that day.” Me (throwing down a £20 note): “Here, go buy me the finest box set in all the land!” Wife: “Nope. I’m keeping this, by the way. Now can I come back inside?” Me: “What a wondrous day.”
