Reason for lack of Website improvement The app dev and the website dev teams are two separate companies, both working with the same database. Clearly the app team are having greater success fixing the issues than the website team; unfortunately we haven't received any recent updates from the latter. Regards mark687 Absolutely ridiculous. Who on earth would choose to go with separate companies to develop two systems that have work together. Idiotic decision from BF. Pay peanuts, get monkeys. And according the the latest rumors on Facebook, the monkeys have now run away from the circus.

They might be very busy with work at the moment. Still, not answering communications is very unprofessional at best.
A couple of IT people have already joined the discussions and they said that their company would never do something like that, and that BF probably hired the cheapest monkeys on the block, or total beginners.

I think the reference from this morning has only just started to blow up. There do not seem to be any further updates on the situation, which means the devs have still not answered.

I think it's pretty straightforward. They get in a new team to build a new website. They say "hey you need to migrate all your data". Get a team in to migrate the data. - Oops, that's gonna break the app. Pick up the phone "Hey app team, how bout you work with these new guys?" Nope, old app team don't wanna play. Get new app team/ They get cracking. Data team mess up: breaks the new app and the new website. App team start deploying fixes. Website team stop answering calls. Oh, hang on. You're right. It IS a bad sitcom.

Also, I think it's a bit unfair to assume that BF just paidf the lowest bidder to do the job. In my job, I've seen plenty of companies and contractors overpromise and underdeliver. BF don't do this stuff in house so they must ask experts to advise them. They don't just Google "make me a website" and pick the top result. They might be naiive but their not imbeciles.

So on Facebook there is now talk about the developers of the website ghosting BF. There must have been a recent social media post. The website devs do not seem to answer BF emails anymore... and the rumor mill is working that this will cause any August releases to be delayed. Oh my. This indeed could have been handled better. Honestly at this point it’s almost like a comedy

This sounds EXACTLY like the "broken bridge situation" in front of the village where I live. So 2 years ago, they hired contractors to fix the bridge, and said it would take 6 months. After 5 (!!!!!) months they found out that the contractors never did any work. (they could have asked me, I never saw a soul working on said bridge) Well, they then went and hired another contractor, this time local people (the work leader is the husband of a colleague), these guys must have been more expensive, but they got the job done. And after 2 years, yay! I can now drive over that bridge again.
So right now, we appear to be at the stage of "oups, nobody is working on that bridge" with the website.

The Broken Bridge era of BF. It does seem that they totally f'd up when choosing a company to make them a new website. This is funny but now as the days roll by with no August releases & no Deathworld. This is getting serious. Trust between BF & customers is waning.
