If they do the "oh Grandfather, I don't see you since your Fifth incarnation, you know, back there on the Death Zone" routine I would get very very angry, but it would be interesting to see her reunited with Capaldi's Doctor and at the same time a bit of what happened to her since Alex died, but I understand the TV crew aren't allowed to mention stuff on TV that forces casual viewers to buy audios to undesrtand what's going on If they bring Susan back, to me it has to be from the angle that The Doctor promised to return but he never did - and now Susan feels hurt and betrayed.

It could be that The War Doctor made the same promise as his first incarnation during the Time War and he never returned to her. well, I definitely want to know what happened to Susan during the TW My theory is that she fought in the Time War, but The War Doctor tried to persuade her not to get too deeply involved because 1: he didn't want her to become like him and 2: he didn't want to run the risk of losing her. At some point War maybe went on a mission with Cardinal Ollistra where he promised Susan he would return to her, but he never did. Gallifrey is a big planet and he probably became too busy fighting in the Time War to keep his promise.

Boy, the news from BF definitely threw a cat at this particular pigeon.
