Is this the first time The Daleks have been in a CC since 'Fear of the Daleks' back in 2007? Anyway, that cover looks very nice. Shame William Russell is not involved, but I'm greatly looking forward to this. The First Doctor CCs are rarely less than brilliant.

It's bittersweet to not see William Russell on the cast list, his narrations and performances were uniformally sublime.

Looks very good indeed. I like the idea of two more stories for his travels with Polly and Ben (far too brief on TV) and Vicki/Steven are my favourite First Doctor companions combination so that's great too.
And a 50/50 balance between (pseudo) historicals and alien worlds, including a return to Revolutionary France - and goodness knows where 'The Plague of Dreams' is actually set from the description of it! And did somebody say Daleks...?
A definite pre-order for me.

A must buy for me. Already had it pre-ordered and have been trying to wait patiently, but news like this makes the waiting hard.

Already preorder and I love Steven/Vicki & Ben/Polly
But what I am wondering is each story being read by 1 companion or are 2 stories being read by the 2 companion teams?

The first story is Maureen (no Peter), the second vice-versa, and it looks like the two Ben/Polly stories have both Anneke and Elliot in them.

And while cover art doesn't close the deal for me as far as purchasing, I have to say that is a damn fine looking cover.

I'm surprised not to see Carole Ann Ford, since without William Russell she's pretty much limited to CC's or Short Trips (It's possible they might do a season 0 EA, but I doubt it). Hopefully she'll have an upcoming run of a couple of Short Trips to read, because I hate to see someone excluded from providing new Who content.

She's reading the Short Trip for October, All Hands on Deck. So she's literally providing New Who content!

It's Susan encountering a Time War Eighth Doctor. It follows A Heart on Both Sides, read by Sarah Sutton, where Nyssa meets the Eighth Doctor in a Time War setting.

I didn't think that they'd reported on anything more in the range but I could have missed something.

Jago & Litefoot Revival is the latest news, the two Time War Short Trips were announced back in January ( link).

Already preorder and I love Steven/Vicki & Ben/Polly But what I am wondering is each story being read by 1 companion or are 2 stories being read by the 2 companion teams? From BF on FB
2 Actors in each
Maureen and a guest actor in the 1st one
Peter and Nick Briggs in the 2nd one
(For those 2 the Companion Actor dose the narration)
Anneke and Elliot share the narration in their 2 stories.
Regards

Hopefully this means that Elliot Chapman will get the opportunity to show off his William Hartnell impression

Hopefully this means that Elliot Chapman will get the opportunity to show off his William Hartnell impression Agree, though Anneke Wills is brilliiant at multi-voice stories. I love 'The Highlanders' audiobook performed by her, with three versions of the Second Doctor just for starters. (Himself, and disguised as a german doctor and an old woman!) Great acting.

I'm not convinced the FB reply says that. I'd say it just says Anneke and Rob are in both. Not that they're both narrating both. I can't, to be honest, personally see why someone would go on FB to ask that. Why not wait and find out as you listen.

The credits on the cover seem to imply Annette is narrating both, with Elliot supporting.

This is the first off-screen story with the First Doctor and the Daleks, other than cameos, multi-Docs and Polystyle comics. That's a big deal.
