If anything, I'm less excited after that trailer... I don't know, I just find it so hard to be enthusiastic about (TV) Doctor Who at the moment, but I'll give this a go.

The trailer got me more interested. Up to now I was kind of "meh" about it.

This still doesn't have me super excited, but it can be hard to tell from a trailer.

Worth noting the trailers are also now airing on BBC, so the promotional activity is definitely ramping up.

Class looks so much better than this year's Doctor Who Christmas Special. I didn't expect it to look quite as amazing. I'm a lot more excited for Class now than I was.

I can't wait. The trailer really brought me back to being a teenager: that awkward, thumbling, confusing time of it all.
Also, for those who don't know, the series is being fasttracked here in Australia: the episodes will be available on iView (ABC's 'Catch Up' service) an hour after the UK broadcast!

Hmm... not exactly a vote of confidence I'm sure this month's cover will be related to Power of the Daleks anyway.

And let's be honest with all the backlash from when Class was announced can you blame them for going with something from Power, you know new proper Doctor Who content coming out this month.

Hmm... not exactly a vote of confidence That's why we all need to send letters into DWM after the first episodes of Class to show our support as the Whovian fanbase for the show.

Well, this is more a problem with lack of support/interest from the general public, not Doctor Who fans. Class already has a lot of support from fans (and hate from other fans, but still), but it doesn't from the general public. But then Doctor Who itself struggles to get the interest of the general public (and many fans) these days so I don't think we can expect a spin-off to do particularly well. I would, however, be very happy to be proven wrong and for Class to be successful.

As much as the BBC try to push it, people just aren't interested in their online channel. It hasn't reached the heights of, say, Netflix or Amazon Prime. I feel like if Class had been announced for BBC1 or BBC2 there would be much more interest from the casual audience. Whilst Class is being aired on BBC1, we only know that because Patrick Ness said as such on Twitter. The casual audience don't know that. I don't think casual viewers not being interested in Doctor Who is true though. It's just that the way people watch TV has changed. X Factor hasn't really lost viewers - and neither has Doctor Who.

No proper show for a full year, funding used for this to be shown online only, little or no promotion and no clear Target Audience its going to be "a lot more mature then DW" but their using the Doctor to launch it, and clearly very little the official Mag can do (for whatever reasons )to raise its profile.

Because it's nice to and shows our fandom in a favourable light.

I don't think casual viewers not being interested in Doctor Who is true though. It's just that the way people watch TV has changed. X Factor hasn't really lost viewers - and neither has Doctor Who. Eh, not sure the channel would have made a difference - people (apart from certain Doctor Who fans) just don't care, whether it's on BBC1 or BBC3. As for Doctor Who, it's hard to know for sure how many people watch it (and then how many of those enjoy it). Overnight ratings are too low but the final ratings are too high, but I think it is undeniable that there are less people who watch than did in 2008. All I can offer for general viewing is anecdotal evidence - almost no one I know who used to watch Doctor Who does anymore, and the few who do only watch it out of routine or to mock it.

Well, that depends on whether we like Class after we see the first episodes. I hope I enjoy it, but I'm still not entirely confident that it will be any good.
