They have introduced a per order charge for international customers I believe. There has been a lot of discussion about it on other forums (fora?).
I suspect the discussion will continue for a while yet.

Just maybe re-evaluate HOW and WHEN I order.

The picture of Jerry Lacy on the cover is of Tony Peterson, not any of the Trasks. It's the same picture used on the cover of The Devil Cat.

Tony Peterson IS a Trask. The synopsis for Communion specifies a young Gregory Trask in 1861. Even if the cover shows Elias Trask, you'd expect garb from the period. The image of Jerry Lacy on the cover depicts someone in distinctly modern dress, and as I noted before it's the same stock image used for Tony on the cover of The Devil Cat. Echoes of the Past showing Gregory Trask instead of the Rev. Trask from 1795 kind of pales in comparison to this.

I was looking at it as being the case that these are performer photos on the cover, not character photos. After all, it's a photo of Marie Wallace, not one of Elizabeth Stoddard.

Marie Wallace I can understand since the last visual depiction of Elizabeth Stoddard was a brief appearance in 1970/71, but would be too hard to get a still of Gregory Trask? Surely the image of him used on the cover of Fall of the House of Trask would be usable? I've no doubt that Jerry Lacy would depict Elias Trask.

Which affects the actual quality.....not a jot. He could be dressed as Supergran on the cover, it's the story itself, that's the part I'm interested in. Though Jerry Lacy as Supergran would be awesome. Get on it, BF.

As I say, it's performers not characters. I think (though I could be mistaken) that those are photos OF Jerry and Kathryn as opposed to being photos of them AS anyone.

I see from the chronological placement that A Face from the Past takes place after Bloodline. Hopefully that story won't contain too many spoilers.
For a closer placement, I'd say that The Ghost Ship takes place at some point during the 550-600 period. Incidentally, I've just finished watching 553 (yes, I took a short hiatus but finally managed to get past Adam demanding Barnabas make him a lady friend).
Hell Winds would likely take place prior to or during the first half of Angelique's Descent Part Two.

Thanks, I read a bit of it (not 11 pages!) but also got a nice reply from BF's Ian explaining it all, and I'm good with it. The initial shock is gone!

Just double-checked (I have a habit of somehow double-ordering some Dark Shadows audios- good thing I have a friend who's interested so lots of gifts for my friend) and my June pre-order is still there... I guess I'll keep an eye and see if mine is canceled.

Re: the cover photos kerfuffle - i suppose i can set my mind at rest and stop worrying about the whole 'it's the wrong Trask!' thing on 'Echoes of the Past' now. It did itch my OCD a little bit, but i have now acquiesced to the situation. The 80s-glam-tastic pic of KLS from Dynasty (or is it Dallas?) has helped to mollify my addled mind.

Just added Waterhouse's Sugar to my audible. Thanks for the suggestion! I'm currently giving Lara Parker's novels a relisten and hoping The Heiress of Collinwood will be up soon. While I can certainly read it, I'm in grad school and would rather have the tale unfold while I'm running, doing errands, chores, cooking, etc.

I also added all of Matthew's audios! I have his physical books, and am disappointed that there are only abridgements of some of them on audio, but will take them that way until unabridged versions become available, if ever. I love his writing, and his readings! A very nuanced performer....and a very interesting, funny, and sweet guy. DS (and its fans) are so lucky to have him as a cast member and championing it at every turn. Loved Blue Box Boy and his novels. Can't wait to hear Sugar.
