One of my favourite podcasts is The Thrilling Adventure Hour. One of the occasional segments was a story about a time-traveller who was tasked with fixing things that were wrong with history. Karen Gillan guest stars in this one:
Hello again. So had any carol singers yet? The doorbell rings and you are faced by these guys...
That was brilliant. Certainly beat those Daleks on Halloween:
"TRICK OR TREEEEAAAT~" "Um..." "WE UNDERSTAND THE HUMAN MIND." "I--" "DEPOSIT THE CANDY OR YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED!" "Okay, okay!" "SATISFACTORY." *sighs* "WAIT... THIS IS NOT PURE CHOCOLATE!" *slams door*
I'm sure everyone's seen it before, but it still makes me chuckle:
Because of this, I laugh every time that somebody promises to "explain later" when I'm watching/listening to Doctor Who. That phrase really does come up a lot.
I always laugh at the Master falling into the Sewers '936 years in a sewer'.
I kind wish The Name Of The Doctor had ended like that:
'Doctor who is that? I've seen all of your faces, who is that mysterious man standing ominously in the corner?' Clara said pointing at the War Doctor, The Doctor grumbles to himself walking away ''I'll explain later...''
