Maybe it's because of the original cast's availability. We will have just had 2 box sets, which will have been hard scheduling for. After that maybe it makes scheduling for the immediately-following series more difficult than previous series? Yes, probably is just that they prioritised the specials for the limited time they had with the main stars.

just going to leave this here, straight from the first big finish news about this 3rd season of audios...
"The first release features the return of Nerys Hughes as Rhys's mum in Visiting Hours by David Llewellyn. Coming up after that is The Dollhouse by Juno Dawson, which is ridiculously inventive. She dares to show a glimpse of life at Torchwood LA in the 1970s, and it's magnificent,
[[[we're hoping to spend some of the next few releases showing different aspects of Torchwood through the ages, and The Dollhouse is a great place to start. That doesn't mean we won't be keeping the regulars busy - Ianto's going to have a tough time, Gwen's on a road to nowhere, and someone finally dares to say 'No' to Captain Jack."]]]
For Queen And Country ;D TommyP

Rhys 2. LA 3. Andy 4. Ianto 5. Gwen 6. Jack That's fine with me. Plus, if people are desperate for Owen, they need to understand that Burn Gorman's probably too busy being in a LOOOOT of stuff and just doesn't have time or wants to do other things. Not everything is Big Finish's fault, guys... in fact, it rarely ever is.

Not everything is Big Finish's fault, guys... in fact, it rarely ever is. He was one of the main bad guys in Johnny English Reborn a few years ago. Apart from reading one audiobook nine years ago he's not done much with Torchwood since leaving the show.

I was hoping for more Naoko Mori, as speaking to her, she's desperate to do more. However if that is the schedule I'm happy

Looks like a strong season of Torchwood stories.
I'm sure we'll be hearing more from Tosh and Suzie and many others that will be pleasant surprises in the future.
Thinking back, I'd love to hear Captain John Hart and Jack's daughter Alice get spotlights. There are some interesting stories there, no doubt.

I wonder why there is an American Torchwood. We've been independent since long before Victoria formed the Institute. It should be interesting, anyway.

Interesting there's no trailer yet and it's due for release next month, with the previous story (Visiting Hours) just now available!

Based on what we know about this run of episodes The Dollhouse holds the most interest to me. BF is enlarging and expanding the universe and the characters in it, much like what they have done with Dark Shadows. My favorite releases thus far have mostly been the unusual leads such as Yvonne and PC Andy, so bring this on.

I'd chalk it up to coincidence until anything in the story says otherwise. The Dark Shadows story is about a madwoman locked in a tower on an estate in Maine (on the East Coast) in the late 1890's, while the Torchwood story looks to be set in 1970's Los Angeles.

Fun Little Fact! The actress Dichen Lachman who was in season four of Torchwood also starred in a TV Show called Dollhouse! 😂 For Queen And Country TommyP One thing that occurred to me this is 14 "the Dollhouse" and Big Finish has previously released Dark Shadows 14 "The Doll House" Coincidence? or...? I really hope there's an isolated music suite because the music in the trailer is great!

Yes Yes Yes
Its either going to be brilliantly deliberately cheesy or we're being lulled into a false sense of security and its going to be quite dark.
