Agree or disagree, DalekBuster explains why in his post, to annoy Trump.  If don't see how that would (or could) annoy Trump I suggest some Googling to see what Trump has said about Muslims and what regard he holds them in.

When you say "I personally wouldn't say that Trump hasn't said much wrong about Muslims", do you mean that you don't think his statements are "wrong" in the sense that you don't find them objectionable, or you don't think the statements are "wrong" in the sense that you don't think that they are factually incorrect?

I disagree with you, but I'm interested in hearing what you have to say. However, I don't want to derail Dalekbuster's thread. Shall we spin this off into its own post and continue it there?

I'm not too sure Donald Trump would care in the first place (although he might be a closet Doctor Who fan), but it would be a silly reason to make a character in a TV show a Muslim - or any religion - anyway. Character backgrounds should fit the story if they are going to be mentioned. Although I don't see the need to know what religion any companion is to be honest, just give them a decent role.

For all we know the character of Bill could be Muslim and if she is,who really cares? It isn't like Islam doesn't have almost a couple of billion followers worldwide and representation in one of the world's most recognizable TV franchises would acknowledge that fact. And as always what kind of stories does that allow the show to tell that it would not be able to tell otherwise?
